Have you ever made money from a Matrix?

Matrix sites seem to fly up all the time, from big professional jobs to small home businesses? But I guess that very few people actually ever make money. Have you joined one? Did you make money? What was your overall experience.
For myself I've joined several, made a profit on almost all, but never a very big one :)

If you consider Binary MLMs as matrix, yes, I've made a good money with it. (I made around $1200 in around 10 months time.) Otherwise, even free matrices too need lot of promotions. (The problem with everyone, including me, is they keep doing whatever they used to do. And it's hard to pull someone's mind into a new concept, without hyped promises.)
Yet, I think there's one winning strategy. But it needs testing and trial, which involves money. And I'm not prepared for that now. ("Money Makes Money", a true popular saying. 
)

$20 one time. And I got $20 worth of top up to my mobile. So, 0 investment. But I spent around $200 or $250 on promotions.

I am part of several matrix MLM systems and I can say they do really work. But just like any other else businesses out there, hard work is a must, especially when you are just starting out.
