I am a chinese, English is my second language. Since I was lacked of spolen English pratices from eduction.I never talk to foreigners in English. After graduated from school, I worked in 3 factories as a foreign trade clerk. I needed to communicated with foreign customers by e-mail in English. It seems tather difficult to me.Cause my bosses ofen said he couldn't quite understand what I said in the e-mail,Or I couldn't clearly express the idea of them. I changed four jobs, three bosses of mine come from HK, I was desired to use authenic English. I couldn't do it. Every time when they revise my E-mail, I feel more desprete. On the other hand, I want to learn English very well so that I can find a job to communicate with foreigners face to face. Moreover, it will bring me higher income, not low salary which cann't support my living. So I begin searching the Internet to watch English Programs, like"American Next Top Model","Castle". I hope these programs with English caption but they only have Chinese caption. Does it exist a net including a lot of videos with English caption for free? What's the effective method of English study for you? Please share your experience with me!

May be joining an English speaking social group will help you in this language. In addition to that, hire a private English tutor to correct your mistake in grammar and vacabulary can boast your rate of improvement if you are in immediate need of 'Perfection'. I believe if you really want to be able to speak fluently, you have no other choice, except to engage in conversation with English speakers more often than in your native tongue, then you can pick up all the pieces quicker, so to speak!

well except finding a couple of good grammar and vocabulary books, internet could be a good tool. This site for an example would be a good tool while it's only in English you can work on them daily :) Maybe reading an English news/sports/forum/blog site would help too :)

you need to find a job that really use english for daily work, for the e-mail, for talking, for conforance...that will quickly improve your english, there's no other way that i think more effective, self-learn english on internet or have a course i think won't help much, the key point is that you should find that kind of a enviroment full of english, and english is part of your life and work, you will sure improve

There are alot of programs that can help you learn english, like Rosetta Stone, as well as other websites like bbc.com/languages. Its a matter of just keeping at it. If you go to hulu they usually have closed caption in english for most shows as well.
