At present, in various regions in Indonesia are crowded demonstrations rejection rising gasoline prices. Which's interesting from demonstration of rejection increases in gasoline prices in this year is the attitude of President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono to engage the Indonesian military (TNI) in the face of these demonstrations. The attitude of the President, the people of Indonesia increasingly criticized and blamed as a form of politicization of the President to the military effort because after the demonstration was not aimed at the rejection of gasoline rising overthrow a regime. Demonstration purposes only rejection of gasoline rising aspirations of the people associated with government policies that increasingly makes it very difficult. In addition, the rejection reaction in the handling of protests, the army's involvement is also justified because the army is not the security forces, the army is an instrument of national defense and military today is not the time to keep the demonstrations included. TNI shall be reduced on the pretext of national interest, for the sake of nation building, and for the sake of national stability. Friends, what your think about the attitude of Indonesian Government involving the army to block the demonstration?

I believe that involving the Indonesian Army sets a bad example for the government; it carries the attitude that the government either doesn’t want to listen to the voices of its citizens or is deliberately giving a show of muscle to quiet the citizens into submission. Either way, it does not set a good example and I believe the people of Indonesia deserve a chance to voice their opinion, as long as there is no violence involved.
