AT&T unlimited data plan, there won't be unlimited offer ever

I read a few complaints from people, and I also personally heard it from friends and co - workers who sign up with AT&T data plan, which they so - called it "Unlimited". There won't be any "Unlimited" offer, and they simply slow you down if you reached certain level of data usage, let's said 3 Gig or 5 Gig, then your online service on your smart phone or Iphone will be slow down like snail, or to halt. That is what they charge you for $30 per month. I just wonder it would do the same on other service provider too, especially the Verizon, or Sprint, those big players in the market. I also wonder how about those second - tier providers like Metro PCS, Boost Mobile, Straight Talk, and Cricket, would they slow you down once you reach their designated level of data usage?

When it comes down to the various carriers, thru my research I have only found one that does not slow your data speed, and that would be Sprint. All other phone carriers have been noted, (mostly thru personal experience) to slow data speeds to a crawl. I am sure it is the same with the other big companies. But the think that I just don't understand is that why doesn't AT&T come out with a total unlimited plan for all the smart phones. Look, you could go with straight talk. It is offers online or at Walmart. You can get a totally unlimited plan for only 45 dollars a month. No restrictions on calls or data. So I think that if AT&T did come out with something like this, they would corner the market. But it seems the big phone companies are becoming more and more greedy.

i have never heard of this, but unlimited data plan here in the Philippines costs more than $30, usually at $40 minimum. while others give you only 40 hours a month of usage and a dollar charging for every 3 hours or so.
I think for those i know who have unlimited data plans here, they have no experience of having such a slow download of data or browsing...

I have hot spot capability on my HTC phone through Sprint. I pay 30 extra for the unlimited WiFi and I can say for sure it is truly unlimited. I have used 50 million kb in a month time. I watch Netflix using my phone through the Wii and my laptop. I am constantly on my laptop, playing on Facebook and college work. I can have my son playing online on the Wii, my daughter on her laptop while I am on mine and it never slows down. I strongly believe Sprint has the best unlimited service for data. I would highly recommend them to anyone. The customer service has even improved since the got the new CEO.

With my internet plan I get nightly updates that use up my internet time. I have asked the carrier about this and they said to make sure that the internet is not left on. Will I did that, but yet the updates are still there. So I called the carrier and they can not tell my who is charing, or why they are charing or how I can get them to stop charging my phone. I am beginning to think all cell phone plans with internet service are a big rip off.

In my country these unlimited word is misuse and also it is not true also there are Unlimited* with an asterik , and below there or in the agreement the unlimited portion state that it based on fair sharing policy among the other users.Initially the limit is big because user pool is limit, once the program ran longer more people use and it start to cap the brandwidth.

I had cricket at one time and it did seem to run slower or freeze up. Now I have straight talk and I actually plan to get a phone (smartphone) from them partially with my earnings here. I will have to update you on how straight does. Straight talk is $45.00 which I think is a wonderful deal, and it actually does have good service in many places in my state.
