Hi myLotters, 4 weeks ago I asked for suggestions on which brand of DSLR is best for beginners like me. I finally decided to get a Nikon D5100 and am loving it. I still need to learn more on how to use it's full potential. It's a good thing that my family and I went out of town last weekend and got the chance to take some landscape photographs. It's a bit sad though that I wasn't able to manually set the camera but it's a good thing that my new camera has preset settings. Thank you to those who responded to my discussion weeks ago. It also helped that some pointed out about accessories like lenses. So once again thank you! :)

Well done! That is a great beginner camera, I bought a D3100 a while back as my first DSLR and I must say, I'm stoked about it. Love it. I'm still waiting for some of my accesories to come though, ordered a protective rubbering, waterproof bag and some filters. Hopefully that will make me enjoy the camera even more with less wear and tear. Planning on getting a Sigma 70-300mm DG lens soon too. Only have the kit lens (18-55mm) at the moment.
