it is the version of your ram classified in this way so different version because bus clock is different dependign from how much supported by processor...naturally ddr3 is much better than ddr2 but even your processor and motherboard need to support more frequency.

yes probably the enxt generation will support he new standrd as well in reality i never had till now experiences on ddr4 memories ddr3 for the moment anyway we will see in the future wich devices will support this new performing ram!!

yes DDR 4 is the latest coming with Intel ICORE 7 processora and mother boards are the superfast RAM.... Hare Krishna Ganesh

Yes I agree with you totally different motherboards support different version of RAM ...... And in my view latest motherboards support DDR4 RAM.... Hare Krishna Ganesh

Dear Dude Thanks for sharing nice information but I think frequencey range for ddr4 ram is still missing....yet to be known....!!! Every few months or a year we have new standard of RAM and motherboard........ Hare Krishna Ganesh

hmm.. u r welcome.. let me correct fr ddr3.. it's 400-2133 and ddr4 is 2133–4266...
