If you like to collect things, like stamps, coins, and baseball cards, etc.... And you think that you had kept them long enough, and you might consider they have certain amount of values in them, but you are not sure how much in terms of dollars they might worth, why not check this website out, called collector.com. You send your items in, and they will give you a appraisal value of your collectible items along detail in paperwork. Then you might have pretty good idea of what your collectible items worth in market price. I personally collect stamps when I was a child, but I lost them long ago.

I used to collect sea shells, which didn't really have any materialistic value (but they had intrinsic value!). I would go to the beach and pick up small ones, and big ones. I didn't realize little bugs/animals lived in them at one point though. I don't know what I ended up doing with that collection - it was kind of expansive too!
. I wish I had a collection that was worth some green, though, that would be sweet...

I have long been into buying and selling collectibles. I did this several years ago when times were tough. I learned a lot and met many interesting people. I made a little money but I know that there are people out there who have made a good income buying and selling antiques and collectibles.
I only do it occasionally as a hobby now. I especially focus on costume jewelry but I am open to other possibilities. A couple of years back, I bought a bag of beautiful vintage scarves from an estate sale. I did not re-sell them. Instead I gave them away as gifts. They made nice gifts.
Thank you for the website. I am going to check it out.

I am starting to collect magnets. I usually buy the magnets from places I have gone to. The magnets usually names on it, names of the place where I bought the magnet. I put it on the wall of my cubicle in my workplace. I use them to pin papers and notes on my desk as well. They are quite handy, artistic and decorative.

Sounds interesting, but I'm leery of sending my things in. I have a few collectibles collected over the years - some from yard sales, flea markets - that sort of stuff. I also have a ceramic cookie jar from the 40's that belonged to my mother - decorated with hand painted pieces of fruit. Somehow I've managed to keep it from getting chipped all these years.
Something is only as valuable as what another is willing to pay for it, too. I gots lots of those little McD's beany babies still in their packages - but no one wants them...
