I kinda remember few years ago, The owner of the Idol Franchise decided to make world idol. Its like the world cup of idols or the Miss Universe of Idols. I think Simon hated it because It make the winners around the world look like losers. I think its originally planned to be a yearly thing like the World cup and Miss Universe but it didnt happen. I think because some countries complained their idol didnt win and all 11 judges acted like Simon clones. I think this failed cos its only 2 episodes. so people around the world didn't connect to he contestants. Then it pissed Americans cos Kelly Clarkson didnt win, IMO though the winner derserved it. This show would have been a good platform to other Idol winners who are not from the US to have a global career. ----- I think many countries had cancelled their idols in favor of X-factor, the Voice or some original singing contest that fits their culture. Do you think there should be a second world Idol?

I think it would be great provided that measures are put in place to make sure that you do not favor the contestant from your own country. I do not think it would work though since it is hard to control the voting pattern from different countries.

I think the first world idol did hyped, the winner who is from Norway actually deserves it, would have been great if they did it when there is more idol franchise around the world, and it would have been great if its a yearly event, I think it became a problem when people dont want their idols to be critisized. Simon also have a fight against the Canadian idol judge, another thing , a second world idol didnt happen cos many countries cancelled their idols in favor of X-factor,star academy and the voice,.

and I also remember the trainwreck called Asian Idol, That one didnt turn out well, I think its voting system is you have to vote for 2 people, so people vote for their country's Idol and the least "threat" I think many people thought the Singaporean Idol wont win cos he is the worst singer and Singapore's small population. I think if Idol will make an International/intercontinental contest again, it should not be a 2 episode event. It should have been like the local versions, 1 person gets voted off per week. That would have killed the Nationalism bias. ----

I think there would have been alot of disagreement if it continued. In considering that, I guess it much better that different countries usually hold their own shows.

I think that programs like x-factor and pop idol have run there course and that poeple are getting bored of them so i dont think that we need a world idol it wouldnt interest me. If its like the Eurovision song contest people only tend to vote for the own nation so the contest seems a waste of time.

the system of world idol is that you cannot vote for your own country (since countries are not equaly populated. Many idols around the world had been cancelled for x-factor and The Voice though. From what i heard the Voice is the strongest singing contest franchise now cos many countries cancelled their X-factors too.,
