i would like to ask everybody, what could be the best gift for a male friend? I had no idea regarding what to give. My cousin ask me what male gift would be special and at the same time a well to be remembered. It is really hard to give such gift ideas especially when you don't exactly know the person and i am not that plenty of male friends anyway. Anybody has an idea? thanks..

How old is he ? Maybe , if he is 30 years old , he may like to read some books. I am 30 years old and my friends bought me 5 different books and I read them. I also like a carrd with honest blessings , a birthday cake and a surprise party. Maybe you can just go to the shoping mall and enter a gift shop and ask the seller about a present you can buy to a male friend at his age. Maybe it can be a nice alarm clock , maybe a diary , maybe a chess game package... It depends on what he likes.

I always try my best responds giving examples from my own experience. I also got a gift card from my mother and I went to buy with it a nice jeans and a shirt from castro. I also but music cd or a cool computer game cd (I had a game called "the summoner" and I really liked it) to my friend from a music shop like tower records , maybe a cool decoration to the room. The list can go on and on ... You can also invite him to a movie or a coffee house , maybe a fun place to hang out at.

I normally encounters this problem also, even for my beau. One important question I ask myself when buying gifts is "can they use this?". So find something worth buying that your recipient may use even in his normal days. Even if you don't know him that much, think general. Say a wallet or a shirt or a cap. What matters is the thought of giving. The mere fact that you're giving him a gift is a big thing. No matter what you pick, you will be appreciated definitely. Good luck cassije74!

Clothes are always a practical thing to give. It's hard giving guys gifts so I'd give something that would be useful to him even if it's perishable.

Thanks kat_princess ! One thing that comes on my mind is clothes too. And selecting type of cloth and the brand also is hard especially if you don't know the person you are giving.

What do they want? Or what kinds of things are they interested in? Do they like working on cars - if so, get them a new wrench kit or something. Get them a band T-shirt for their favorite band. A new CD they've wanted. A gas gift card. Just like women, men also are usually pretty easy to shop for.... If you are totally unsure you could probably just go for the gift card, or get him a gag gift at a joke shoP (that would be funny). Good luck to you!

Actually my friend, it is so hard to give a male friend a gift, if you don't know his likes and dislikes. Hence, it would be best to analyze what are his likes first. That way, you will more or less gauge what gift to buy. And your budget is to be taken into consideration too, my friend.

Yes, thank you simplyd ! One thing to consider too, is the cost of the gift. Sometimes, giving expensive gift will always creates positive impressions. But i believe, no matter how much is the gift as long as it is heartily given is much more appreciated. Right, knowing his likes and dislikes gives impact too.

A gift need not be expensive, my friend. Sometimes the recipient appreciates it so much , it its something they can always use or of relevance to them as a person. I speak through experience, because my husband is like that.

Ask your cousin to watch what the guy is interested in.I am a male and if someone decides to give me a gift,I would like to be given something of my interest.I am interested in reading books on wild life, politics and history. If such books are given to me as a gift,I would certainly like it.So ask your cousin to study what her bf likes or dislikes, and then decide what gift she should buy for her.

Depends. I have tons of male friends and it can be really confusing. I get them a simple card and a game. Get him something you know he likes doing. Or a gift certificate for the mall or a store will work wonders.
