My Lot Is Real Slow Now!

I have always loved My Lot and although I have become a lot busier now I still try to log in when I can and respond to a discussion. However, I have noticed that performance of My Lot in terms of speed has slowed down significantly. I don't know if others are experiencing the same problem. I used to log in immediately and the website would load and that was that. Now, I keep on getting page not able to be displayed and I know it's definitely a problem with My Lot as I'm forever on the Internet visiting different sites and they load with lightening speed but not My Lot.
I just wish they would handle things at their end, whether it be their servers or whatever because the performance right now is ridiculous. I feel strongly about it and just had to create this discussion. I don't know if anyone else has noticed the same thing. Andrew

yes Andrew i find these things odd here in mylot, although i have only joined recently, i immediately took liking towards mylot and have been logged in HERE almost all the time, but now i find it bit slow and also for me, when i want to check out certain interest some other pops out, like for example, i want to respond to THIS DISCUSSION but i found myself starting in some other interest like thinker or something, i went back and posting this response now this is definetly odd, I sincerely hope that these problems solve immediately, because mylot is one of my favourite sites, and its next only to gmail when it comes to no of times logging in per day

Now that there are no tasks and you will be spending your time on the discussions, I hope that any slowness will soon disappear so that you don't get annoyed abd stop posting. That would be sad because I think you are going to enhjoy the discussions more than the tasks

nope diana (can i call you by that name!!) i am not leaving the discussion in mylot, past i made a mistake for not coming here for discussion..i find mylot a great substitute for facebook...i am posting almost everyday now...thanks to the glitch in the system, its kinda sad though but atleast it let me to the discussion/fun side of mylot

Hi salma, yes I also love my lot and have been a very frequent user of the site although I have become a lot busier now. I have been with My Lot for a long time and it used to be lightening fast but now things are very different. I can tolerate the issues as I love My Lot so much otherwise I would give it up in a flash. I hope that the admin staff are aware of this and sort things out. As I mentioned it's definitely nothing to do with my Internet connection as I have a fast Internet connection and I'm able to access every site that I want to and they all load immediately. It's only My Lot that is giving me the problem. Andrew

I find it slow on and off. Today I am not having particular problems.
Maybe there are problems but I'm sure that they will fix any as soon as they can.

bad here in California not my browser either as its fast on all other sits. am going to contact mylot as they might not
know that its taking minutes to load and sometimes it even times
out and has to be reset. something is wiping out this comment

Hi mysdianait, yes, it's a real problem. Even this morning I log in and I see I have all these responses and I just cannot respond to anyone, luckily I have just got through and am able to respond to you. My Lot is an absolute nightmare now and it used to be so perfect. Andrew

Maybe it is your server or computer. Because MyLot for me has been running fine. Maybe you need to clear your cache or clear up some memory and that's why it's running slow. Even clearing your history can cause things to run faster & smoother. But YEAH, no MyLot has been fine with me. Maybe it's also during MyLot "rush hour" or something like that where there are a lot of people using the server. *shrugs*

Hi maezee, yes, I've tried all that it's definitely not my computer because I access every other site fine. It's only My Lot that is giving me the problem.

hello there,
I noticed that too.
There is even a time of the day where you have to wait for several minutes before your search is completed.
This made me open my account only but did not participate in discussion much.
I also hope mylot will do something else to improve it.

Hello irene, yes, it's a real shame that it is like this right now and hopefully things will improve. I'm sure that the My Lot admin are getting wind of this discussion and hopefully notice there is an issue however minor.

in my case, mylot is only slow when the internet connection is not that good heheh and also when there are no interesting topics or discussions to respond to, i feel like mylot is going slow hehe

There's probably a lot of truth to that but in the case of my own Internet connection it's very fast and every webpage that I visit loads in the blink of an eye, it's only My Lot that is proving to be a real problem. So this definitely tells me that there is a problem with My Lot somewhere behind the scenes. Andrew

No Problems over here with Mylot, I like checking in to my account& I have not been using for the long time that others have but it's been an informative showing and I'll continue to use the site in my down time.

Hi, that's great that it's working for you. It sounds as though everyone is experiencing different things, it works for some and it doesn't work for others. Now that I am logged in things are working fine. I think it's definitely the logging in aspect and the page just doesn't load. Every other site I visit is fine and loads immediately. Andrew

Well, I thought that you were going to be saying something about the number of discussions that have been started today and I was going to agree with you on that one because it has been pretty slow on the site today in terms of the quantity of discussions that have been started.
Now, I really can't say that I agree with you in terms of the actual speed of the site because it has been running great for me, even on my laptop which I used to have some difficulty accessing mylot from.

me too. I supposed it is the normal case as I login in China.Even though I still join the discussion every day.The only trouble is sometimes I need to write my response twice or more because once there is no response for a long time I will refresh then it becomes blank.

Yes, that is exactly what I experience so just to be safe now I make sure that I copy every text I type so that if I need to paste it then I can. I have logged in this afternoon and it seems to be working fine now. Andrew

hi, its so slow and to be honest i can not find a lot of topics to write and talk about it, i hope admins will do something about that and be strict about the topics that are discussed here so we can type more and earn more, have a good day and thank you

Hi, thankfully it's working better for me now although there is still the occasional moment when the page does not load. I also struggle with topics to discuss and so I don't create many discussions here but rather respond to the discussions created by others. Thanks for your thoughts. Andrew

It's been on and off. Sometimes slow and fast. It definitely is not because of the internet connection. I feel that the system downs sometimes in mylot. They should improve this.

Hi jvincent, yes I totally agree, something's definitely going on at their end. I enjoy posting on My Lot and I just hope that they improve the situation. I won't leave My Lot though as it's too valuable and there's no other site like it. Andrew

I've noticed too at times this site is slow to respond and sometimes when I'm anxious to write my thoughts it hesitates and my mouse jumps to another word so I have to type real slow and carefully to make sure it's right. It's frustrating as it's happening right now and I'm done. If enough people have problems with this site, will they fix it?
now I the puzzle solved I know the problem is not my internet connection but mylot site

I've not experienced any problems at my end, although it wouldn't load yesterday for me. Also what's with the tasks at the moment? There used to be loads now today there's only one.

Hi suzukigirl, that's great that you are not experiencing any issues. I have noticed that now that I'm logged in it's working fine and I'm able to post and respond to the discussions. I think it's just the getting into My Lot the first time that is the issue although there is the occasional page not displayed. There's definitely something going on behind the scenes whether it be their servers are slow or whatever it may be. Andrew

hi andrew oh tell me about .sometimes I wait so long for things to
load that it times out. It has been bad here in Southern California
the last week or so. In fact I lost two responses as after waiting and waiting the page loaded and came back with an empty box where my long response had been.so have copied my posts to clipboard and they did finally go through but in minutes not seconds. I am going to hit contact and tell mylot admins as its

Yes, it sounds as though we are experiencing the same issues. As you say, I visit other websites and there's no problem loading the sites at all. I only ever experience a problem when it comes to logging into My Lot. I know that it's definitely not the Internet connection and coming from the IT Technician side, being an IT Tech myself I maintain my own computer and do everything behind the scenes to keep it hunky dory. Anyway, hopefully things will get better. Andrew

Sometimes it's slow. Maybe because there are a lot of users logged in at the same time.
It happened a few times to be so slow that the pages didn't load but not that often.
I'm sure they'll fix it. It's a nice community and it would be nice to keep it going.

Oh it's definitely a great site and I have been a member here for a long time. I remember the days when there were no issues whatsoever, everything ran so smoothly. Still, I'm a patient person at heart and can deal with these petty problems:)
