I was thinking about enrolling my son in the K12 Virtual Academy in my state. I am not pleased with the middle school in my area and was thinking this the virtual school will give me an alternative. Has anyone tried the K12 virtual public school? If so, what was your experience?

My family has done K12 Virtual Academy for two years now and we love it. My kids go at the pace that is right for them. If the subject is hard they can take the time they need but if its easy they can go through it faster. Both my Son and Daughter are on to the next year right now and we still have a month to go. They give us great supplies and a teacher we can get by email or phone when ever we need her. We take our school on vacation with us and done need to waste school days. Plus it only takes us a fwe hours a day to get it all done. My kids also love that since all the work is done at home they never have "homework" after school like many of the neighborhood friends do. There have been so many advantages. Our schools around here arent that bad but my Son just couldnt keep his attention up for the 7 hours he was there. There is so much time wasted passing papers and dealing with 30 children that he was bored. k12 has been such a blessing for us.

It's been a topic all over here in my country for this coming year K12 will be implemented. But it is not virtual it is an added year for the high school students. We have only have 4 years in a high school and the K12 program will add another 2 years of not academically subjects this is like a training years of which course they are planning to pursue on college. And If they don't want to go on college they can have a nice job because they already have 2 years training of what course and job they want. My daughter who is graduating for high school next year will not be on this program since they will implement the program for those who will graduated on the year 2018 if I'm not wrong.
