it was definitely the highlight of wrestlemania 28, triple h meeting undertaker. last year, hhh tried in vain to end undertaker's wrestlemania streak. a rematch was bound to happen and i'm sure glad i was able to catch this one. it was a great match as it went back and forth. early on taker dominated hhh but hhh countered with a spinebuster on undertaker across the steel steps. from then on, hhh worked on taker but taker would get the upperhand once again. there were near pinfalls but each one had managed to kick out. good to note that hbk, as a special guest referre, called this match fairly. i was concerned that hbk will interfere in the match in one way or another.
finally, taker got rid of hhh with resounding chair shots. in a last act of defiance, hhh tried to use a sledgehammer, a weapon that has been a trusted ally to him from a long way back. however, tonight, the sledgehammer wasn't enough to stop undertaker's streak. taker hit the tombstone on hhh and covered hhh for a three count and a win.
it was really an epic match and i really liked the way that it was a clean win for undertaker. anything else would have been a travesty. i also like that it ended with both hbk and undertaker helping hhh to his feet and all three wrestling icons stepping out and leaving the squared circle. early on this match was being hyped as an end of an era, many figured that it was taker's era that would be ended. i think with the loss, this is hhh's last match.
right now, i'm stoked just thinking what the hall of fame ceremonies will be like when hhh and undertaker are inducted. hopefully, it happens in different years as each wrestler deserves to have the limelight all for themselves.

You bet. These are definite Hall of Famers without doubt.
What a sight it was to see all 3 legends leaving the arena, in what has been felt by many as the last match of both the Undertaker and HHH.
Shawn Michaels was already crying in the match even before it ended. Goes to show the passion and desire that all 3 men have for Professional Wrestling.
Easily the best match in Wrestlemania 28 followed closely by Punk vs Jericho, in my opinion.

hello sheetalnr!
yes!!! totally agree with you about all three wrestlers. shawn michales is already a hall of famer and for sure, hhh and undertaker will follow suit. hopefully, we still see taker wrestle for one or two more years and see him keep his wrestlemania win streak alive. it'll be a stretch to ask for 25-0 from taker but that would be so awesome!!!
cheers and happy mylotting!!!

I love wrestlemania when was a kid. During the time when cable tv was unheard of and betamax and VHS are still popular and hulk hogan was the king
and undertaker leave all the talking to his side kick with urn. I would go to a friends house and keep track of every episode, up until a classmate of mine in high school told me that it's all scripted. That's also the time that i lost interest in the wresting.

hi ybong007!
how have you been? hope all is well with you.
yeah, i remember the first wrestlemania that i was able to watch. it was wrestlemania 3 and it featured one of the greatest matches, if not the greatest match in wrestlemania history, the intercontinental match between then intercontinental champion randy 'the macho man' savage against ricky 'the dragon' steamboat. anyway, i can still remember that match as if i only watched it yesterday.
anyway, hogan was the face of wrestling in the 80s and mid 90s and from then on, other notable wrestlers such as the rock, stone cold steve austin, triple h, hbk, and sting among others became the face of wrestling. the 'side kick' of the undertaker that you are referring to is paul bearer and he was the manager of the undertakre. the urn that he holds was supposedly the source of the undertaker's above average strength.
wrestling is indeed 'scripted' and acted out which is fine and well because after all it is a form of entertainment.
cheers and happy mylotting!!!

A great match between both of these men and one that I enjoyed a hundred percent. Granted, I figured the Undertaker was going to win but WWE had a few moments right there with that match, where I thought, perhaps Triple H might be pulling this one out but sure enough, the Undertaker is your winner, 20-0 and I cannot be more happy with the results of this.
Of course, I do have a feeling that this is one of those matches where "you had to be there" as in either watching it as it happens to fully getting it. One of those in the moment matches. Obviously Undertaker is going into the Hall of Fame and Triple H should be as well. 20-0 and I do admit that there were times where I was a bit cold about this match going in but they delivered when it happened and that's all that matters.

hi megamatt.
agree with you 100%, this hell in a cell match between undertaker and hhh was the highlight of wrestlemania 28. the whole match was just epic!!! no single minute of boredom here, just pure adrenalin watching two future hall of famers slug it out and lay everything on the line for the fans. i was in the same boat as you, i thought that there were times that it seemed that hhh will win and break taker's wrestlemania streak. honestly, i wouldn't know how i would have felt. i really believe that taker should retire from wwe with his wrestlemania win streak intact and to let any wrestler beat him at the grandest stage of all is a travesty.
anyway, the whole match was just awesome and you are correct, 'you had to be there' to fully realize the importance of this match a couple of years from now. this hell in a cell match is up there along with the intercontinental match between randy savage and ricky steamboat at wrestlemania 3 in terms of importance and greatness. undertaker, hhh, even shawn michaels delivered when it mattered most and i was just glad that i was there to see it unfold in front of my very eyes.
thanks for participating megamatt. always appreciate your comments in the wrestling discussion board.
cheers and happy mylotting!!!
