Some people just undermine others' ordeals.

Today I am talking to two friends who've I've been friends with since primary school. We are leading different lives now but often try to catch things up.
Anyhow, today I am sending sms to both regarding their personal problems and I can't help but wonder how one could undermine the 'problems' of another simple because one perceives her problem to be a lot worst?
I also notice this sort of things from people, most would boast as to what they have, how much they make, etc. then when it comes to concerns or problems, they still compete who's got a bigger problem.
Is this human nature? How do you react to this?
For me, I frequently remind them that we have different lives, what may be important for one may not be important to the other. What we ourselves think is a lame problem or 'easy' may be the weight of the world for another.
I must admit, I do that too. I sometimes feel that whatever a person is complaining about or worrying about is just a piece-of-cake, but my concerns are causing me paralysis and anxiety.
Have a great MyLot experience ahead!

I think we all have problems and we should not undermine what anyone is going through.
Your right my problems may seem small to another person but to me they are big.
The only time I think to myself I wish I had their problems is when someone is complaining about money issues and the next thing you know their going on vacation or something. That gets on my nerves sooo bad because I have real money problems.
Other than that I worry about my problems and leave everyone else's problems to my prayers.
