i just heard a news that the Indian master blaster sachin tendulker quit from the captaincy of the Mumbai Indians. Harbhajan singh will captain the team for this IPL season. Sachin give a reason that he needs rest from the captaincy. i think sachin is now in London for some medical check up.But i am wonder that why sachin needs rest from captaincy as he is not leading India and only captaining Mumbai Indian team and that is even for around 2 months in a year. I agrees that captaincy creates pressure on him and he plays more freely when he plays as not a captain.

Sachin is in a relaxed mood after reaching his 100th 100, which turned a tiresome burden at the latter stage. Moreover Harbhajan Singh led Mumbai Indians to win in last year IPL. I think it is a good decision.

Please read this correction. It was Champions League T20 in which Harbhajan led in the absence of Sachin.

whqt is the need of giving the captaincy i don't know. How he get pressure he did good in 2 preious ipl he lead the mubai very well. The team perform well under him. I think he want to get retired so he want to not cpatain the team. There may be other raeason why he quit the captqincy. While this might not affectthe team but sachin would be better.

I dont agree with your view that sachin is going to retire. He gave the captaincy to harbhajan because he lead the same team in last champions trophy and won the title. Harbhajans captaincy was applauded by many cricket experts. so might sachin thought that it is better that harbhajan lead the team.

That was bad. I heard the news in the t.v.I knew sachin was going to retire.Sachin is a great personality.Every single Indian was hoping for sachin's century.I think Chennai retain the title this time because they have the same strategy and players.I like ashwin and raina. They are the young upcoming players.

I think this is a commendable move by Sachin Tendulkar. It's about time he focused on his core skill, that is, being a batsman. Bhajji is an obvious choice for the captaincy because he led the Mumbai Indians to the Champions League T20 title last year. Sachin needs to focus on his batting. He doesn't look as if he is in a mood to retire any time soon. I have to say, he should definitely consider it...

It is a good move from Sachin to give up the Captaincy to Harbhajan as it has been seen in the past also that Sachin plays more freely and scores more when he does not have the burden in his shoulders. But in the last IPL he did led his team to the final. But in the otherside we can see that it could be a good chance for Harbhajan to excel in T20 and with the captaincy then he could show to the selectors that he still has some fire power left in him.It could increase the chances of his selection for the next tours.

Yes . i also agree that it is a good move by sachin. Harbhajan captained the Mumbai Indians team in champions league and lifted the trophy. His captaincy in that tournament was good and got applause from many cricketing experts.

I find what sachin has done to be very selfish! It will be very disappointing to see harbhajan leading a team, that includes such an experienced player! I think the pressures are definitely less, as its not playing for your country! No doubt sachin is a great player, but he needs to captain the team! PERIOD

Harbhajan proved that he is a good captain by leading the same team to trophy in champions cricket last time. At that time also Mumbai Indians team had most of the experienced players.

well its good news for team Mumbai India because now sachin perform his full strength and he had no thinking about the captainacy and just concentrate his batting which really a major role of mumbai indian team performance...

well it was kinda expected though.sachin proved that he is not a very bad captain by leading the team once to finals and semifinals.besides he might feel giving harbhajan the captaincy might work in favour for bhajji into getting back in the team. its not a secret bhajji is one of his favourite.lol. that thing to watch out for is that he didn't say "i quit from captaincy" he said that at the moment,it would be better for someone else to lead the team which means he might even lead the team next season.so yeah

I think harbhajan is also a good captain. He also captained mumbai while sachin was injured. I think it is a good choice. and i think sachin don't like captaincy, so he took it only if someone who is not capable to do that.

Hello..i think sachin is feeling pressure as a captain..and we all saw when Mumbai Indians won the Champions League under the captaincy of Harbajan...So sachin handed over the captaincy...This was a good move by sachin..Now Mumbai Indians will have a good captain and we can see sachin playing his own natural game without any pressure!!!

i might sound rude to many however sachin has lost the will now. I respect him for his old performance, however, excuses like pressure, medical fitness, is not doing any good to him. he just wants to play ...for money now with no ownership of others ...i know that's rude...but that's the fact
