Are you intimidated if you will be asked to leave your ID?

Are you some kind of intimidated when you enter a school or an office and you will be asked to present your id or sign on log books before you can finally enter the premises? I don't know why I am bit pissed off with it. Honestly, I don't like it, it's so annoying though I know it's part of their standard operating procedure or security measures. But still I'm not so comfortable with it. How about you?

I get annoyed because they can never spell my very simple name. Sometimes I wish that I had a long, complicated, Polish name so that they really would have to work hard. How does your name determine if you are a security risk or not?

Are you serious? "how does your name determine if you are a security risk or not?" that isn't it, they want your name so they have a log of who is in the building, thats why you sign in and out.

They just want your name here - no identity required. Are they serious?

I don't have any problem at all as long as I knew exactly that it's part of their procedure. I will find it intimidated if they ask for my SSC then I will give them bunch of questions before telling them the information.

This to me says that you are either guilty of something, or your up to something. If your not doing anything wrong, who cares if they want your name so they know who's been there? What if something happened to you, or what if you were accused of something? they would have a record that you had been there and what time, so you'd have an alibi for that time period. If your not comfortable with their security measures don't go there.
