MTV Changing From Music To Reality. Great Idea or Worse Idea Ever?

In my opinion, MTV changing from all music all the time, to trashy, useless, reality shows was the worse idea anyone could have came up with. MTV does not qualify as a music channel anymore. In the early days when the had music videos playing," VJ", and countdowns, that's when it and was considered a music channel. Now it is filled with dumb reality shows that are probably killing our brain cells everytime we watch them. I tried to watch an episode of Jersey Shore, you know the show with the most controversy in all of America, and I felt I was getting dumber by the second. And Teen Mom?!?!? Oh god, don't get me started on that. The popularity of that show actually made teenagers want to get laid so they could get on the show. That's right, innocent teenagers, with great lifes, got pregnant so they could try to get on this Teen Mom and 16 and Pregnant, another MTV stupid reality show. I could go on forever on MTV's dumb reality shows and how it has made our society's youth do dumb things to look "cool", and it backfire when they didn't make these shows, which should be outlawed anyway. Now these teens and their families are left with life changing damage and lifestyle changes. And for what? To try to be on a MTV reality show. Sad, very sad. So what's your outlook on MTV?

I am not sure about this one but I think reality show is the new craze so it might not be a bad idea . I like watching most reality show and I think a lot of people also find them entertaining .
I have never watch teen mom , I watch most of the episode of jersey shore even though its stupid lol I find it entertaining .

I assumed you were asking in a neutral way, not "shove down your throat that it's all sooo bad". (Just a suggestion, wait for people to reply and put more of your input.)
For the most part, most of it is bad.
MTV used to be known for it's music, why are they taking out their music then? It's like being known and loved for being smart, finding a talent, then becoming dumb, bad strategy. But... I might be able to guess why they're shifting, kids hear music everywhere, the computer, radio, parties, etc they needed to find a new product. And.. IMHO music is in pretty bad shape now.
Hey, hey, hey I like Jersey Shore. I feel my brain cells dying prematurely but it is quite interesting. (Snooki=XD)
Teen mom is a horrible, horrible exploiting show that glamorizes teen pregnancy.

I feel the same way you feel. I don't think MTV is getting better and I could not appreciate "Jersey shore" even for a little bit. They are into reality shows but I actually prefer them airing music vids than these kind of things. I am disappointed with what MTV is becoming.
