Have nice day everyone. I do spend my weekend at home.Last Sunday,I just with my nephew at home caused his parents do have works on Sunday while her sister go with my mother in the province to visit my grandpa. So meaning to say, that I have to take care of my little nephew. It was really a great bond time with him since I just saw him during weekends caused kids are already asleep when I arrived home during workdays. It turn out to be a fun and great Sunday but my nephew is really so playful and asked too many questions. He asked to many whys like what vitamins is that, why will he drink that, why should he take a bath in the morning, why to take a nap in the afternoon, why can't he play that, where is his mom,why no work today and etc. Sometimes I just say,can we just play instead of asking questions lol. Too many whys and questions that kids really asked that sometimes we don't know how to answer it the way that they will easily understand it and explain it to them in simple ways or sometimes we can't basically answer their questions. How bout you folks, how do you handle and answers kid's questions?

haha. i remember my nephew asking where the wind comes from why cant we see it and why is it everywhere and all that. haha... they really do ask a lot. and most of the time, their questions make you scratch your head instead of making you laugh. hahahahhaa but i love my nephews questions. whenever i can't seem to answer, i just realize that there are a lot of things we adults have learned to ignore, which actually intrigued us too when we were younger. have a nice day!

This is very timely! I was just invited yesterday to have a lecture to Teachers for the Summer Church Vacation School in Manila. My focus was to the characteristics of 3-6 year old children. One of these is the "how and why" questions. But you know, it's really fun when they ask though sometimes they may irritate us for asking too many times and insisting to hear answers, right? LOL! I'm sure that you had a blast with the kids and make sure you answered really well to the simplest answer that they can understand.

Kids are really very inquisitive. They never stop asking questions until they become satisfied with the answer they get. They are very curious on things around them. They think that older people has the answer to all the questions. They think that we know everything in this world. That is based on my opinion because that was what I felt when I was a kid. I thought that everything has a corresponding answer.

Indeed everything has a corresponding answer but sometimes kids are not contented on the answer that we gave and follow up another one hehehe.

Children ask a lot of questions that I think that many adults would not think of asking. Mostly because we are kind of afraid to know the answers. I think that we just accept a lot more things when we are older, because there are just some things that we just simply do not want to know and really should not really know to say the very least. Of course children just love unraveling the mysteries of life. And sometimes they touch on things that they are most certainly not old enough to really fully understand. Of course, it is that stage of curiosity, where it is rather endearing and rather frustrating, if you have any relations that are that age. And obviously, it is really something when a child asks a question that you either don't know the answer to or don't feel comfortable asking. The best way to answer the question of a child is with care.

Yeah we should answer them correctly with care and responsibly cause they will bring those answers as they grow older.

When I was a kid I love to ask questions. For me that's normal for a kid to ask questions because asking a question is a sign of being intelligent plus they want to explore to learn new things. So if they are asking a questions, be sure that you give the right answers.

yeah i can understand your plight. i faced the same when i took care of my niece some years back for 2-3 hours. she would just not stop. However, i personally feel that we should try to answer the query of the child in the best possible way as it is the most important phase of the life when i feel they look for all questions and probably all answers. I have seen cases when if the answer was intentionally given wrong (to avoid further questioning), child learning phase is affected. It is tiring activity to answer every small, minute questions....though

Right answer should always be given to them. There are some instances that I divert their queries into something like playing with them or bring them to the store to buy for something hehehe.

haha that is funny and with this i remember my niece who is really very curious. and absolutely you are right, they ask too many questions! :D my niece never stops asking and when she starts, oh she would actually ask one after another and then they would really try to ask another question.. seems silly and seems as if they never ran out of question.. haha :P

It is really hard to answer kids questions. Even you know the answer, you really need to think how are you going to answer their question in their level, the simplest way. Out of curiosity, there are lot of questions running in their mind. Too many why's and how's. Some peron easily get annoyed with those questions. Sometimes, I'll just answer them what I really thought of but in a comic manner and not scientifically-based answers.

Yeah we really have to explain it in the easiest way possible.I do explain it also in a comic and joking way or sometimes tell them that tell will know it when they get a bit older hehe.

Kids are indeed inquisitive. One question answered will lead to another and it's up to you to devise how to end the questioning. It could be really draining for our "brains" to be able to answer all the kids questions. But one thing is sure is that they could be really gullible sometimes.

Yeah it really draining especially when they asked too complicated questions that they should know and understand when they get a bit older.
