Happy Birthday To You is a meaningful childhood song for me. It was the first English song that I heard. I first heard this song on television when I was ten years old. I didn't actually know the meaning of this song at first. I just imitated it by how it sounded like. Later I knew the meaning of this song. This song is for celebrating someone's birthday. I hoped that one day somebody would sang it for me on my birthday. However many years passed by, it was still a dream for me because I didn't have any birthday party when I was a kid. Fortunately my dream came true when I was twenty years old. Eight girls sang it for me. It was a big surprise. You know, that was a lot of happiness for me. They all were my friends. I was so grateful to them. I still remember the wonderful melody and I feel warm every time I hear this song. So Happy Birthday To You is a meaningful childhood song for me. How about you? Have you got a meaningful childhood song? :)

The song that has been really meaningful to me as a kid was the song "Give Love on Christmas Day" by the Jackson 5. When I was small, I used to imitate the words too, even if I didn't know the meanings back then. I even wrote it's lyrics on a scratch paper when I listened to it on the radio. Every Christmas, it's that one song I always wait on the radio to play.
