I'm going off to college soon (yes the age in my profile is not right) and I'm just really worried about the tuition and the costs. I have done many researches on this but I just thought it would be nice to hear something from the public. My tuition is around $40,000 and I have obtained a scholarship of $20,000 per year. My parents are in a very difficult financial crisis right now so they won't be able to give me a dime. Any suggestions of how I can fill in the extra $20,000+? (I'm an international student)

A part time job would be big help in your tuition. Most of the students nowadays are working for them to have money to pay their tuition fees. There are many ways if you wanted something to accomplish.

Hmm, I think you should find some a freelance job to fulfill your $20,000. Don't give up with your condition now. I am a student in a college too right now. To fill my pocket money, I often do some freelance job. Have a nice day.

is there any way that you can get any sort of government grants in the country where you are going? i know the feeling. our 18 year old daughter is going to college in the fall (providing she gets all the government money she can get) because her father and i have absolutely no money so we can't help her.

There are many students who have to find a lot of money to be able to fund their degree, so you're not alone. You're lucky that you've managed to find that amount of scholarship, as many people don't even have that. I would recommend that you try your best to find a job between now and starting your degree, because every cent that you manage to save between now and then will help. Do you have to pay all of the fees upfront or are you able to pay in smaller instalments? There are many ways to earn money online for example, and you could find a way to raise the funds this way.

Have you tried filling out scholarships for International students if you are going out of the country. I dont know about where you live but here they have scholarship for just about every thing books, for being a certain race, eye color, and every thing in between. I think you might need to see your guidance consular for some tips. There is also the possibility of working on campus to get some of the money.
