All of us have experienced our Parents' love whether we remember or not they have loved us they have reared us with full commitment and selfless service. As we grew up, we aere made to feel self sufficience and yet their devotion for us is not lacking. The parents never hesitate themselves to put themselves into our sevice when we are helpless. Today is a Holy Thursay. Within short hours we shall watch the Pope washing the feet of the 12 persons and kissing them. In every church you may witness that the chief celebrant washes the feet of his 12 disciples , he kisses the feet and offers a loaf of bread. This jesture always caused me move into tears. Being a Master, Jesus bent down at the feet of His Appostles and washed their feet. He taught us to do the same. The one who wants to be great must put himself at the service of others. It is also true that when a person is so much attached to egoism then service others woyld cost him and he would become more arrogant. But a truely self realised man, a God experienced man, this would be his authentic sign that he know bend down before the lowly and serve them with love and tenderness.
