Did you use an institution to get help in resolving debt issues

Hi guys, I have a question and maybe this is quite a repetitive thing about debts but i am intrigued on how people handled it, anyway We have this lotter that gave me an excellent tip and shared a very personal matter on how he has struggled with debt and how he got past through it. He said that he was lucky to have a free assistance in this institution on how he can manage help like a sponsor to a alcoholic and eventually he got out of debt and he is now more responsible and wise when it comes to handling his expenses, so any experiences in this and if you were in such a situation will you seek this professional kind of assistance?

I have not had good luck with institutions in resolving debts, well at least institutions that are for-profit, which most are. They all say they can help, but they all want a cut of money from you which is included in your monthly payment to them. Yes, they negotiate with and pay the companies you owe money to month by month, however they keep enough for themselves too. Usually, you are just better off calling up the companies yourself and working with each company that you owe money too individually. Usually if they are getting at least some money from you each month, they will be happy even if they try and try to get you to agree to pay even more per month than you actually are able to. Eventually, they usually will agree to take what you offer to pay them each month. This is a better option than throwing your money away to a debt relief company when you are already in debt, in my opinion.

Hi there olivia, I guess so well maybe there is something about this companies that other people in debt seek for in my opinion maybe it is the kind of support that they need and the guidance to pay there debt is what this companies are offereing that is enticing to those who cannot handle negotiating with the people they owe money to or themselves that tends to stray from paying there debts. Maybe this companies offer the guiding support and yeah they do profit from you for the help they give. Its business.

I had called one company, but they turned out be a scam. The reason why I was able to tell was that I had gone to the Better Business Bureau and researched the company. Also, I knew of someone who used this company and had been scammed. I am glad that your friend was able to get free assistance. I know I have a credit card that I need to pay off and I have student loans which I have time to pay off. I know that once I am done with school I will be able to look for work and hopefully by then Randy's health will improve. Right now he is able to walk, but not for long periods of time and he can drive as long as he takes it easy.

hideodavid yes I used a company to help me get my store cards cut down and get out of debt as I sent som much money to them and they paid down on Mervyns and JC Pennies but alas Sears would not cut their interest so eventually I had to let it good past the ten year cut off.I got JcPennys and Mervyns paid off
