Hello mylotters ,i have always seen today's discussion..does it help to get more money??What is the advantage???

It has nothing to do with earnings, though discussions which appear there tend to be the better sort of discussion where the person starting the discussion has come back to comment on the responses many times and may have gotten many positive ratings, so they will inevitably be earning more for their participation than others.
It is fairly easy to see how most of the tabs work - 'my interests', 'new', 'recent', 'started', 'unresolved', 'responded', 'friends started', 'no responses' and 'new users' are all fairly self-evident - but nobody (except MyLot's programmers) knows how 'today's top' and 'hot' are decided!

I have an idea how the 'hot' are decided 
Those are the discussions, posted within the last 24 hours, that have received the most activity (responses + comments). The busiest discussions climb up to the top of the first page. Once the 24 hours expires they immediately disappear from that list.
