Is it wise to buy Samsung Galaxy Tab rather than iPad?

I am a little surprised since Samsung Galaxy Tab is not less expensive than iPad. But it seems more people want to buy iPad rather than Samsung Galaxy. However, we like Samsung Galaxy Tab much more since it is smaller. And its operating system is Android, namely there are also many free software and games for it. It can play flash and you can also play RMVB videos on it directly whereas iPad can't do so. What do you think and what will you choose?

am amazed by the technology nowadays. i feel very much left out because what i have is the table computer "still" although the monitor is now flat screen. 
but i think the latest is the best. smaller is easier to carry.
