In holy week, each free television networks has its own holy week special presentations. Most of the programs they are giving are movies, special program episodes, and special shows, and even documentaries. I am a valued fan of GMA7 which is said to be the #1 tv network here in the philippines by AGB NIELSEN Research. This network is very much good in making documentaries and other programs. This holy week, they focused more in showing their world class documentaries which has also been nominated and have won different awards on and outside the Philippines. Documentaries are must watch shows because it gives informations to people and serves as an eye opener also. Most documentaries they are making is all about the Philippines, its problems and its wealth. This documentaries, they have shown are just replayed but personally, it is my first time to watch some of they. They made my mind and eyes open of what is the real status of the Philippines. For your own opinion, what can you say about documentaries?

Documentaries on television are a source of entertainment as well as educators. The research that goes in to making them is usually deep and the kind of information they give us is not usually taught in a classroom. I have learned most of my world history through documentaries and I would love it if my children could benefit from the same.

I am really fond of watching the documentaries being shown by GMA Network. It is because we can see the relevance of each topic they desire to deliver to the public. It serves as an eye opener to everybody especially to the government and to other people involved. Because of their very nice presentation of their documentaries, some of it won either local and international. It is a pride for us, Filipinos, to be known in that area of documenting.
