Cancel my plan on traveling this summer

It is sad to say so, because I have to cancel my plans to travel this summer. My original plan is to Seattle for a few days, then I would take the bus to Canada to see my aunt and her family. But after I check my work schedule, since I have a part time job, and my manager would ask me to fill in for another person for 2 months, I might getting busy this summer though. Also, the gas price just all of sudden going up quickly. From last night, the new posting price from all Metro Atlanta counties would go up to $4.19, that is the regular. It will be hard to imagine the gas price when the hot summer is coming. So, the air fare might be outrageous too. Anyway, due to many factors, this summer plan just need to be cancelled.

Many of us feel the same way. I know I wanted to take some day and weekend trips with the family. But the gas prices certainly make us rethink things especially extras like trips, eating out, updating wardrobes ect. Thankfully ours has started to drop we were up at 4.30 we are down at a few places to 3.85, better but still not good enough for us to want to drive anywhere significant.

I know gas prices are rediculous everywhere. It may get to the point where I may end up walking to the grocery store a few days a week to get groceries instead of using the car to get them. Randy and I wanted to go to California to see Willie Nelson, but we may end up not going because of gas prices. I am sorry that your trip got canceled, but I know how you feel.

I am so sorry that you are having to cancel your plans for your summer vacation. But if you will be making extra money working, maybe you can take a fall vacation. while I love to travel in a car, for me fall with all the changing colors are just gorgeous. I remember when my grandfather passed away, it was October and I was still a young woman, as I was driving down to the country where he was being shown in his church and later bury next to grandma in the church cematary. While I was driving down although I was sad, I realized that God had painted a beautiful picture for my drive down. The leaves were turning and rich in colors of golds, reds, oranges, and browns. It was a masterpiece that turned my sad mood into one of awe to see all the beauty that is around us if we just look. So maybe with the extra work, you can go in the fall (and we can hope price of gas go down) and enjoy the beauty of the fall season. With all the prices going up like you we are not taking a vacation this year. We are saving for our next cruise to Alaska. We might do a mini vacation for 3 days but that will be the extent of it for this year. I hope you get to go later in the year, and if so enjoy the visions around you especially where you are going I hear it is absolutely gorgeous up in Washington that time of year.

There are still some other time when you can spend your vacation. What is important today is your job. The price of gas you stated here really caught my attention. That is extremely high. In our country, the price is less than 2 dollars but people are already starting to do demonstrations and strikes.

When our plans to travel during the summer holidays just don’t unravel, it is time to come up with a plan B for your summer. Sometimes work can interfere with our vacation plans but the thing to do is plan our vacation around our work schedule; like for instance taking a weekend and going to a get away spot not far from where we work just to unwind.
