Can cornstarch good for the face? I am not using using a cornstarch which is used for cooking on my face. But i just recently try to use a baby powder which is composed of 99 percent of cornstarch. The main purpose of this powder is a moisturizer and to remove rushes. However, this is just a variety of powder which is also for the face to look oil free, a face powder. Compairing it to other varieties, it is better in making faces oil free. In addition, i just read an article on the internet that cornstarch is also use to removed oils and can remove acnes on face. Does anyone uses also?

Yes, it can and it is really good for our face. Cornstarch acts like an absorbent. I read in an article that it can also be used as a Deodorant. I made an experiment and It was so awesome. I mixed baking powder and Cornstarch, I put it after I take a bath. It is so great.

I find it better than any face powders that i used. It will not make my face oily so often unlike other variants of this.

I've heard that corn starch can be used for diaper rash so that leads me to believe it might be helpful to use on irritated skin. As far as putting it on the face, I'm not sure about that. It doesn't seem like it would really moisturize the skin. Maybe a wet paste of it might gently clean it. Many, many years ago I would use a little baby powder to dry up excess oil on my face. At this point, my skin isn't so oily anymore, plus I don't like to inhale baby powder. Makes be cough a bit.. I guess it doesn't hurt to try just a little bit on your face to see what happens...

Thanks so much for this great infor. Now, I know what to place on my sister's face whenever I see here face to face--at least something that she won't get angry on.

I don't use it, but I can see it can be good for facial use. Corn starch is used in natural deodorants, and also as a dry shampoo. Where I live, baby powders are usually made of talc, but it was proven to have health risks, so corn starch seems to be a much safer alternative.

I am using it now but not on the face. I am using it on my back and neck to prevent rashes from the heat.

Cornstarch could be an ingredient use also in the face. Though I haven't tried it yet nor see a beauty product which uses it. I would like to try it. So how was it my friend? Does it have an effect on you?
