It there that often once in a week it happens to many people that they tend to skip the breakfast. But scientists have found that men regularly skipping their morning meal are more likely to develop diabetes. The study found skipping breakfast increases a mans chances of getting the disease by over 20 percent compared to men who routinely eat after waking up in the morning. The result from a study involving about 30,000 men offers evidences that eating breakfast can reduce the risk of diabetes. They also show that even men who are not overweight and having a reasonably healthy diet, could still be at risk if they skip the first meal of the day.The study was carried out by researchers at Harvard School of Public Medicine in the US. After hearing this I am now going to make sure that I take the Morning Breakfast and never skip it.What do you think of it..........

I am getting sick of these scientific studies. I sometimes wonder if the people are being paid 10 cents for each one, as in paid surveys! It bears the same kind of importance. Taking breakfast on waking up isn't good. An hour or two later is better if you don't have to rush to work. But that is just my opinion, and if 30,000 of you agree, we can publish a study paper!

The main test for blood sugar is routinely taken in the morning after fasting all night. The normal person still has quite a good reserve of blood sugar left! The untreated diabetic patient has far too much. And there will be an hour or so between waking up and arriving at the hospital/clinic for the test. The defense rests.

I don't believe in that study. I just don't see the connection when a person doesn't take breakfast and then he has better chances to be diabetic. I mean he doesn't have a high sugar intake. The study also show that even men who are not overweight and healthy can also be at risk? Well, this has to be given more proof and study.

Another weird study. Breakfasts are very light in my country -- it is often only a coffee --, and there is no more diabetes than in other countries... And in countries having an important breakfast the % of diabetes varies also : 4.9% in UK, 12.30% in USA, and 30.9% in Nauru (2010 data). One thing is sure with so different data, it is that breakfast is not the main factor of diabetes : eating sugar and drinking sodas is certainly a more important cause of diabetes than skipping a meal.

I think that it is great that you wanto t begin to eat breakfast, but I also think we need to mindful that just because we eat breakfast it doesnt necessarily mean we are eating the best foods. I think in order to avoid diabetes, we need to have a balaced meal avoidingsaturated fats and tons of sugar.

Is that really reliable and true? I skip breakfast because people here in our house do the same because we usually woke up late when vacation so that the tendency was we skip breakfast.
