How do you manage the discussions you've created and participated on?

Okay, I've been wondering about this for quite a while already. I see users referring other users to a certain past discussion especially when a topic is already present in the MyLot database. And it puzzles me how fast these users can dig into their history that they can provide the link without so much as spending a whole hour searching through their activities.
Do you have your own way of managing your discussions? And comments/replies? How do you do it? Care to share some tips?

I don't know what others do but I have folders for discussions that I know might be useful again at some point, especially those by admin GoAskAlice. There are some where he has left and I use them as official information when answering questions concerning myLot so that my response/comment holds more weight.
I use the tabs above for the discussions where I have participated in - started and responded for example.
If that doesn't work then I will use the search.

Wow, so you use the bookmarks bar of your browser.
But...don't you experience problems in the speed of your browser if you have tons of discussions you've already participated in?
Organizing admin discussions, your own discussions and participation in different bookmark folders is a good idea.

No. I mean, how do you get to sort your activities or get to manage them or put some order into them that you can retrieve whatever it is you need in those tons discussions you get to participate in?

no, this is an enigma to me. mylot keeps EVERYTHING. they don't throw away any post. so, these people must be newbies and don't have many post to scroll down a data base from.

No, not really. Most people, I saw, who get to refer other people to another discussions are "Pros". I mean they've already stayed in MyLot for more than a year, participated in tens of thousands of discussions, posted hundreds of discussions and still get to retrieve those discussions that they need quite easily. I really envy those who can do that like the MyLot itself is just like the back our their hand.

Link to?
Most of my discussions are quite unique than the rest as I make sure that I haven't made any duplicate of anything aside for one slight misstep.
Yeah, it got deleted.

No, I mean from your question above, you asked how people can refer users to a past discussion that is already in the MyLot database and then they post the link to that discussin so the user can find the answers to his question or whatever... Not saying that you are posting duplicate ;)

hi sinfulrose I portion off a part of a day to go back to my discussions and comment back on any new responses. If a very old discussion has been responded on and brought up I will comment
back on that.I do share for missed responses and comment back as I go. I do not do any links to any thing. I am busy responding to other discussions half the day and commenting back on responses to my own and that pretty well covers my day on mylot. my only tip is if you make a discussion do always comment back on each response. it pays well.our responses to you do not earn you money. You type you earn but if I type on your discussion I earn so comment back if you wish to earn from any discussion you make.
Do not say thank you as it is not paid, make a r ead comment giving your take on the r esponse.

That seems to be what I notice from you, Hatley. You just type your response without providing links in your response--which is great because you provide information from memory.
But I wish to manage my discussions in MyLot because I do get to be very active and I cannot always depend on the MyLot system to just send me notifications. Sometimes, I miss other discussions that I had already replied to to reply again because I don't see it around.
