Hunger Games

My boyfriend bought a ticket and we watched Hunger Games. But the sad part was we were not able to finish the film because my mom texted me that I should be home by that time and I know in myself that she will really get mad if I will be late so we decided that we will not finish the movie so that I will be home early. Until now, I'm still frustrated about what happened and I still wonder how the story will end knowing the fact that I haven't read its book so that I don't have any idea about the story of the movie.

JameJones, a rain-check is a postponement for a later date. I think it originates from outdoor activities getting canceled cause of rain and then postponed for some other time. Now it's used whenever something comes up to cancel a date or activity. Like, "I have to take a rain-check on our date tonight, I've gotten sick." Or "Jessica said she'd take a rain-check on that movie tonight because her mom called her and told her to be home soon."

It is very surprising that there is an introduction of this film in the newspaper today. It is amazing that it sells so well although its budget is not so much. And I am not familiar with its cast, too. But I am curious to this movie and I look forward to watching it. I love China

Why did your boyfriend buy a ticket when you have to be home at a certain time? Do you guys ever check running time and figure out how long a movie would be before buying a ticket? I would never go see a movie and have to leave one before it ended. Never would I do so.

It actually disappointing when a situation comes up and you have to leave at the middle of movies. As you say, if your mum will be angry, then I don’t see the need to upset her. In fact if she gets upset it is a fact that you will end up upset too. Obedience is a good thing and keep.

Well I highly recommend the books, because they're awesome. Well I think they're awesome, and there are a number of people who agree with me. I loved the movie too, and somebody's already stated the ending, but I'll say it simply and less spoil-ry. Peeta and Katniss both live, but only by completely screwing with the system and getting the gamemaster to declare them both winners rather than have no winner (almost a requirement). And President Snow is really angry about it, so he "threatens" the gamemaster in a way that implies the gamemaster is going to die, and watches Peeta and Katniss closely because he believes what they did was an act of outright rebellion and that a rebellion is going to start as a result. Never mind, that's pretty spoilerish anyway. I hope you get to see the ending on screen though!

That's too bad that you couldn't stick around to finish the movie. That would drive me crazy. I haven't seen Hunger Games yet, so I can't tell you what happened in the end. Perhaps next time you should go to an earlier showing. Happy MyLotting!

Katniss and Peeta won the games. They outsmarted the Gamemakers so they both win. I read the book long before the film was released and I suggest you read it too. The movie is not as great as the book. There are some scenes in the movie that are not clear to people who didn't read the book. In the end, Haymitch (thei mentor) warned Katniss that the Gamemakers/Capitol are planning something against her because she made them angry.

Sad to hear about that. Anyways, you can still watch the film again. I think it's better that you got back home on time. If not, your mother may ground you or not allow you to go out with your boyfriend anymore.

Well I can understand you perfectly. If such a thing should happen, or having to leave the cinema because the phone call, there would stay very badly in not being able to attend either the conclusion of the movie. However the film "Hunger Games" in Italian cinemas is not out yet, nor even it have yet to hear talk. If I have the opportunitò to see it, I'll tell you the ending!
