Why Coca Cola is more popular then Pepsi in UK. And......

I am working in Sainsburys in UK. It is 3rd biggest market place in UK. I noticed coca cola is more popular then Pepsi in UK. but When i was in Pakistan then Pepsi was more popular then Coke.
So it means Pepsi is more popular in Asia and Coke is more popular in Europe.
Why is this difference? Is this because of advertisement or some other reasons?
Can someone tell me which one is more popular in USA and Canada.

i hate both as they are unhealthy drinks, i like tea its my favorite thing to drink with anything, and it has some health benefits but other gas filled drinks are not tasty though i used to like it buy i got rid from that addtiont thank god, thanks its

Coca cola is much more common in USA than Pepsi. Many stores will have large stock of coca cola and have less of Pepsi or none at all. The reason to this statistics is because many people in USA prefer coca cola to Pepsi as their favourite drink and still coca cola got into the market long before Pepsi.
