Easter

On Sunday, I met a friend for breakfast. We were talking. I had my laptop out to take care of a couple things before going to the church to eat. This older homeless gentleman with a suitcase walked past me, out his suitcase down and then came back to me. He asked if I could buy him a cup of coffee. He did not go beg from anyone else. Just because one has a laptop does not mean that person is rich. I could not believe that. On Easter on a holy holiday. Can't anyone take a break from that? He never asked anyone after asking me. I do not like it when someone comes up to beg from me first just because I have a laptop for work. I heard that begging will be illegal next year here, anyway. About time that those here who are able to work be forced too work! I don't believe that those who are capable of working here in the states be given money when they refuse to work, look for work and are way too lazy all the time!

There were many people who are capable of work, and they just wait for someone give them the money. I don't like those people, and I definitely refuse to give them any help. Why not try it out themselves first. If there is no work, or they can't get any help at all. I would definitely help them out.

I have been saying the exact same thing! There are many people who beg that are capable of working for a living but refuse! I got a response once from someone who asked a man who owns a business, was offered a job and refuse, literally slapping the guy in the face. To me, begging really should be made illegal, then what will those lazy bums do?

you really seem to have an issue with homeless people which is surprising since you were one at one time. Surely you remember how tough it was?? Could it be possible that your reaction when he asked for a cup of coffee was harsh enough to make him leary of asking anyone else rather than it being because you have a lap top.

Some people have a job they love, others have to work at a job they hate just to make ends meet. Working at a distasteful job is debilitating, and can shorten one's life. Not all beggers are homeless, and most enjoy their job (begging for a living!) You are not obligated to give to a beggar, in fact if you refuge to give, you are making a bigger statement than as if you had cursed him out. Some beggars are very successful, have nice homes and a nice car. Begging is an art-form, and a successful beggar is to be admired. In fact, it's those who are taken in by the beggar, who should be despised!

Many of those guys exist everywhere. People who have completely refused to work and instead will walk around borrowing. I tell them to work and I will pay. Some will just walk away while others will shame themselves just because they cannot do a simple task. They are just lazy and I have no soft-touch for such people.
