End of the World stories

During the holy week, regular tv programs were suspended and movies or documentaries about God and Christianity were shown from morning till late night. There was one documentary that talked about the prophecies that came true before and during Jesus' time. And, the speakers also said something about prophecies that are happening in our time and those that will happen in the future. And, all these are written in the book of Revelations. It's scary to hear those stories and I don't know if I want to start reading off the bible to find out for myself. What do you know about what the Book of Revelations tell us? What end-of-the-world stories are you concerned about?
