This the first day my daughter took her summer classes in modelling. She said she's having fun introducing her self to everybody and also to her teacher that is talking in English. Well I told her that's good at least it will improve her talking skills in English. And also of course her personality and will have a good confidence in her self. She is only 14 years old but she was tall and little shy girl not like her older sister Ann that is opposite of her. That's why I enrolled her to personality development in modelling class.
I took summer classes too when I'm still in the big city before moving here in my small town. I took 3 different kinds of courses computer literacy, tailoring and food processing. It was very useful having so much skills, I also used it for business. I make home made process meat and sell it to my friends.
How about you friends do you enroll your child your even you in summer classes? Please share thanks.

nowadays children have to attend summer classes also to learn more and more. If it is required we should send our children for these classes.
This is in comparison to our days --forty years ago -- leave means fully leave nothing else will be done. that was fine. we use to play 14 hours in a day cricket or indoor games.

That's why when she ask me to join to the modelling school i allowed her because i know if she is only here she will be hooked up in computer games because of boredom. Her playmates and friends are in the big city who actually wants to play computer games too. She decide to visit them before the school year starts.

hello ravi,
That is one thing kids missed nowadays "playtime" real playtime that includes physical activities.
Kids today never realize that real games are outdoor ones, not indoor sitting the whole day in front of their computers playing online games.

My son will be taking summer classes for gymnastics, swimming, reading, and a few other things. He needs to have something to do each day or he runs around like a ping pong ball. He'll have plenty of time to relax and do nothing as well.

I wish they had had those when my kids were growing up....the only summer school they had around here was for those who had failed during the year....my granddaughter goes to what they call kids corner and they have lots of things they get to learn like going to art camp one week.

We don't have them either here in my town before, all opportunities are in the big city that is far away from us. Art is one of her favorite too.

I've been searching for places that offer swimming lessons for toddlers. My 3-year old loves the beach and she has learned a few basic swimming techniques from her father but we'd want her to get formal training so she can enjoy the waters more. It's hard to find one in our place. Most of the classes are held in the main city which is an hour from our house, and as of yet, no one can take her there everyday.

These classes are they helpful. I have enrolled myself in many and I believe it is a good idea. Some parents find it a waste of money, resources and time. What will your kid be doing at home during his time? It is possible to acquire skills in this classes that act as an added advantage to you when applying for work.

Yhea it is very helpful to the children to enhance their skills and knowledge, it can boost their personalities too. The class only last for 3 hours and most of the time she is playing games and watch TV at home. It is the time for them to relax since it's off to school.

Summer is almost here and we are somehow talking of our plans, me and my kids, their ages are 7,6 and 4. My eldest once was enrolled in swimming and she really liked it a lot, im not sure if she will still take the same swimmming lessons but i really believe that she has talent in swimming, she has potential and also in dancing, we are weighing between the two options. With my two other children, i have to ask them what they wanna enroll this summer and there are also many other plans to do during summer like going to the beach, summer classes for my youngest, reading classes for my other two. They even said they will sell food this summer, funny kids, they want to learn how to be entrepreneur, well at least i will be here to support as always, that what MOTHERS do best!

hello lyn,
My kids don't have any plan of taking summer classes, instead spending summer vacation back in my hometown is what they're always planning ahead of time (lols)
Well, I cannot blame the kids since summer is too hot to handle here in metro city.
Besides,I understand they also need some break after months of studying.
I believed summer classes helps a lot and improving oneself is a must.
Learning never stops anyway, there's a lot of new things and information coming in and we need to be updated.
Good luck to your daughter

I recommend this approach. Let the children have at least one month full rest from studies-- they should play, play and play all the time during holidays.

I agree with you both this is the time for them to enjoy their childhood to interact with other kids. I'm sure they missed their playmate in your hometown.

It's good that your daughter can go.
I would love to take some summer classes at college to finish my diploma program that I started a few years ago, but I have to spend too much time online earning a living, and I don’t have time to put into my courses. Even a couple of hundred dollars a month I earn on line is badly needed, so I spend most of my time doing mylot and writing to make my money.. and of course I do tasks at microworkers too.

I didn't like my kids to enroll in summer classes this year because of a lot of factors. However, my son enrolled in his class and I support him for that. In my college days, I enrolled in three summer classes to be able to finish my course at the right time. If circumstances warrant, then there's no problem in enrolling in a subject or course that we want. It helps in acquiring more knowledge and skills in a particular field. I hope and pray that your beloved daughter will be successful in her modeling activities. Have a wonderful and great day ahead.
