Are you aware of this one? What's your reaction about the decision of Ms. Universe in allowing transgender people to join the competition???

i do not agree with this. besides transgender people have their own pageants. I think that Ms. Universe should be a pageant of pure ladies.

You're not the only one, a lot of transgenders agree with your opinion. My neighbor said, she saw the news that started this all. There were documents that proved Canada's representative for Ms. Universe this year is transgender. So I guess they're not totally trying to change the rules by letting transgenders join the pageant, rather they will be more strict in implementing proper background checks. To be certain that the constestants are women by birth.

Personally, I don't see the reason for the decision. I don't why they should push for this 'change' when there are perfectly good pageants for transgenders. also, there is the fact that soe of them can be really mistaken for a women with the make-upa and the clothes. I always associated Ms. Universe with beautiful and gorgeous women (as in natural women) so i think it might change my perspective of the pageant (not that I'm a fan) when it does air. I don't know if anyone can object or can overturn this decision except for Donald Trump.

i agree. real women in the pageant deserves a fair judging. their should be exclusivity. transgenders have their own pageants anyway so why mess with real women's pageants.

It was a report that came out on 1st. April. I think that says it all! Same as the TV documentary a few years back showing Italian peasents at harvest time picking bunches of spagetti off the trees!

I have no problem with them doing that. Its a competition for people who are in the extremes of modeling, so if men want to do it, as long as their aim is in dresses and makeup and bathing suits, then where's the problem with them trying for it? Of course, they'd have to know that their chances of winning are far lower then that of a woman in the competition, but if they're willing to take that chance, all power to them!

its really unfair to the real woman who preserved their natural beauty. the pageant is supposed to be for real women. they will end up losing the pageant over a transgender.

No way, leave it to Tyra Banks opening her door for transgenders to join America's Next Top Model. Ms. Universe has always been a pageant for women. Let's not break the tradition please. I'm not at all against transgenders, I love how diverse our population is. But for a pioneer of beauty pageant to change rules, they have to provide us their reason for doing so. Where did you hear about this?
