Hard cider?

I tried some of this stuff for the first time ever last weekend. It was called "Wood Chuck" and I tried two different flavors - a friend brought this all over - and it was DELICIOUS! There was a "Spring" Flavor that tasted similar to like maple syrup/oatmeal/pears (something like that) and another one, Granny Smith Apple. They were both delicious. Although I couldn't imagine drinking more than 2 of them at a time...Unlike beer ,they are just too sweet for me. (Most likely).
Have you ever had hard cider?
What are some other good brands/flavors to try?

I have never heard of hard cider, however it sounds like something I would love. I will have to keep an eye out for it. Where did your friend pick it up...at a grocery store?
Cider seems so mild, afterall it's only apple juice. Ha, only! It is vicious stuff!
That's from part of my life that I should have been doing something else - anything else!
