I bet they are making the cover up excuse right now regarding this matter. but that's because the media is still in North Korea and they have not notify as to what North Korea's status regarding this launch.
I almost forgot our history about NASA, or US Airforce, during their early days in Rocket Science, they kept having these failed launches and they won't say anything of these failures.

Hello Mspitot, a lot of scare, panic and other paranoia stuff, only to find out that the missile was a dud. hard to believe after all that panic. well, back to solving the usual issues of the country

I agree that the hype over this was so much exaggerated. Although it was a failure this time around, we will never know when they tried to spook the world world again when they announced announce launch of another missile/satellite. I agree that we should have never feared it in the first place - Japan was nervous but strong enough to defend and shoot the satellite/rocket down if necessary. I guess that this event was also an embarrassment to North Korea but I heard they are trying to keep their spirits up because they have celebrations or commemorations planned ahead.
I just hope that North Korea will place more emphasis on the economics and the welfare of its people rather than military weapons.

Well, I still believe that we should be prepared no matter if it was bound to fail in their first attempt. Because unlike Japan who can counter act the threat, we cant. So it is a big issue on how to face such problem. It is a pity when all we can do is avoid the debris and pray for our safety. But, we Filipinos are close to God. He answered our prayers, now there is another issue with China. What is happening with the world now?

Hello Jeanneyvonne, I think i have forgotten US's history that they had a lot of failures during their own missile test in the 50's before the mercury rocket or mission became ever successful.unfortunately, it's either they make a huge excuse or they get rid of the media hype knowing they will cover the truth and it's inevitable

Hello Johndur, If only they believe in GOd, they would realize such an attempt wouldn't work at all. besides, it's idolatry that they believe a human is a GOD. a lot of people didn't deserve such problem like that and until these days they still live in the 50's, except some crazy hackers that has connection to the outside world

Yea, NK nissile had failed. However, i just read in the news today that some analyst predicted that there is now a very very high chance that they would do some nuclear testing.
In order for the new leader role to be more legitimate, he need to to prove that he can do certain things (eg, shooting of missile or some invention of nuclear power)
It's a good thing that they failed their missle launch. But if they would really go and test some nuclear thingy. the would will be in a very dangerous place.

Hello dream_ozn, that's because they can't accept the fact that the missile has failed and to regain something from that humiliation, they are brutally planning to make a nuke missile as a desperation. if that hits our territory, then it's probably war with them. that would take them back years before they can start their missile test again

Hey there letran knight, good thing then we shouldn't worry about replacing our roofs or cars smashed by titanium debris from this rockets anyway I still think that we should still prepare and have prepared since this is a serious matter if it pushed through, so great at least our country is okay for one more day, haha EPIC FAIL North Koreans that what you get for not thinking of people you might hurt in your selfish missile launching attempts.

Hello deodavid, I wouldn't have problem with it, because if that kind of metal lands on our roof, i'd paint it then sell it! they never should have made that rocket, it was a complete waste of our money and effort i think.they can't do trial and error so there's no way they can actually consider this a success
