My husband wants me to make a grocery list he he he I don't want too! Every time I do it I will still forget something! And I really already know what need so why bother? But if I don't do it he will get so angry! he he he I don't really care! What would you do? Would you make one just to keep him from not being mad? Or forget it?

If I were in your shoes, I will make the list, if that will make him happy. As if doing the list will kill you, it wont hurt a bit, just write it down in a paper and you are done. And he's just asking you this for your own good, not only for his benefit. He just do not want you to tire yourself going back to the grocery and buy those missed items. Sometimes, in a relationship, one must have to give in.

Making a list us quite useful though especially for me who is kind of forgetful about things lol. And you are right, even if you make a list, you still forget something which is really annoying. For me, it's not bad to make a list of things you want to buy. I think your hubby just want to know what you are going to buy since he doesn't memorize them like you do. Or maybe he wants to know how much you are going to spend since he's budgeting or something like that. Since you already memorized the things you are going to buy, it won't take you 5 minutes to write it down, right? :)

There are times that I regret my self not doing the list and when I came home I forgot something. Totally I hate doing it making a list and looking at while browsing the shelf of the grocery store. And sometimes my daughter get mad at me when I forgot the things she told me to buy for her. I told her next time text me the things you want I hate putting it in the list.

I wouldn´t mind making a list to keep the peace in my house. I don´t think it´s such a big deal. I had a lond and good marriage because I saved myself for the battles I really wanted to win, because they were worth it.

Hi! If it's a weekly grocery trip, I make sure I have a list since I have a tendency to forget a thing or two. But if it's a mini grocery trip, like maybe for only a few things, I don't bother with a list anymore. To answer your second question, I would make one just to keep him from being mad. But I will tell him that since he insists on it, he should help me make the list. I dictate, he writes. If he doesn't want to do that, then he shouldn't bother me with it. Hahaha!

Well, dear friend, I believe that everyone has his tactics in shopping. I for example, when my mother sent me to buy at the supermarket, I can only remember mentally up to 3 things! At the fourth, I forget already! Which is why I have to mark everything with paper and pen. Maybe mine is a question of a short memory. However, just to answer your question I do not think to see anything wrong with doing the shopping list written. But I still agree that buying too much stuff, especially the surplus is wrong. At least, I see it that way.

I always make a list when I go shopping, because it means that you don't forget anything and you don't have to go back later in the day to get the things that you left behind the first time. You should plan your meals for the whole of the week, and make a list of the things that you need to buy. If you don't do this, then you might find that you buy a lot of things that you don't need, and forget some of the things that you do need, so the ten minutes that it might take to write your list are always worth it in the long term.

My husband does the same thing. He wants me to make a list on what to buy in the grocery store. I kept telling him that I know what we need in the house since I ran this house! hahahahaha But, it made him angry, so I just make a list so that he will shut up. lol
