People are just overly sensitive I guess, I wonder how they live in reality?

I just found a notification that my response was deleted because it was irrelevant. I don't think it was irrelevant because it was exactly and answer to the topic. However, there were a lot of people who I guess flagged or gave it a negative rating because it wasn't following the usual 'line of thinking of most'. Beg my naivety but is this or is this not a 'discussion' website? Are we really 'discussing' here or are we a bunch of emotional 'supporters' who would only accept thoughts if it were positive? I mean, if you live like that in the real world, chances are you won't really get off the ground and reach success. Neither would you certainly find real friends because everyone will be a wolf in a sheep's clothing. I am fairly puzzled at how sensitive people are. I have my fair share of negative comments directed to me, but I didn't go and cry about it. It is the real deal. You cannot expect discussions to be full of birds and flowers, there will be people who wouldn't think you're cute or what you're doing is 'peachy'. Yeah we are 'friends' here trying to earn by discussing things, and yeah we try to keep it simple and clean. But should it always be afraid to truly express our thoughts? What if you really don't approve and would like to set the person straight? Regardless what most think, I still think that bidding goodbye to sites (Mylot, Facebook, or other Social Networking Sites) is LAME. Lame for the reason that you don't really bid farewell, you just sign off. And still stand ground into expressing that I think those who do just need attention. Just like when a person who threats to jump would like to be stopped. Or a wife/husband who threatens to leave would like to be pulled back. I am sorry but the act isn't cute. I know a lot wouldn't agree, but that is my personal belief and anyone who thinks I don't have the right to express it can go back to playing with lilies in their ponds.

Your post made me remember ber one of my friend who's also bidding goodbye. And for some reasons i am annoyed because he's about to create another group in Facebook. Eitherway; I can't hold him back because of his decision; he is breaking away fromt he norm in which he's online for the rest of the waking hours tries to feed his negativity more by making those self-pity comments and posts/ shoutouts. But of course; again... we can't blame people like him. He's just voicing out what he feels. Same goes here in mylot. Keep it up!

True enough! Just like what you've said, they're free to express how they feel, and we (who see these comments or voicing out) should also be free to contradict these actions. It's a free MyLot or a world. Thanks for dropping by!

I wouldn't let those things bother me either. I wouldn't even make a discussion about it, it's probably happened a few times and I didn't even bother to notice as I have too much going on otherwise usually. I hope you can't just move on and forget it as well. There are times when we all think our response is relevant and it can be that it's not. Who knows.

I have moved on, perhaps I was just irked that day when I saw the notification and saw the other responses prior the notification that my response was deleted. I just didn't expect it. Anyhow, who knows what was going through that discussion anyway. Anyway, I'm pretty sure I'm over it and I thank you for sharing your time for this topic. Have a great MyLot experience ahead!
