What types of jobs are stress-free, in your opinion?

I used to work in different kinds of sales like selling properties, medical representative work, telemarketing, and other stuff. I find them really stressful, so when I learned to work-from-home doing things like teaching English to Koreans online, teaching chess online, and other stuffs like Investments online, Affiliate Marketing and online tasks like PTC's and of course Mylot, I really found my stress-level has been reduced a lot! In my opinion, working-at-home has been one of the most stress-free jobs I know of. Do you know other types of jobs or work out there that you are doing yourself or you simply know of that is as stress-free or even less stressful than working-at-home using your computer?

I think the people who work in the Post Office by selling the stamps are stress free. All they need to do is weighing the parcels and sticking the stamps on them. And those people who work in the Library. All I can see is they need to put the books in the correct category. There is no stress comparing other jobs. Further to this, the trainers who give advice on losing weight and excise. As long as the trainers deliver their advice or guidance, it is up to the trainees's learning and contribution.

I agree with this response. Stress free jobs do exist but they are few only. Most jobs are stressful. Good answer!

Well, BetterDays4Me, if you want to run your own business, I don't think it will be stress free. Because you have to think of how to attract the customers to use your center, how to do the promotion and keep the business going. Besides, you have to work out how long you can pay back the investment on those weights and equipment. Sorry I am not here to discourage you. Just want to share with you my personal views. Actually I have never run a private business.

Yes, I believe you have good ideas here, Madona. Now I'm thinking of the possibility of putting up my own fitness center in the future. There is only one-time investment of buying all the weights and everything, but after that the only expense would be the monthly rental fee you pay for the place. Although I believe the initial investment would be a big one.

Yes working at home is definitely a stress free job. I too used to work outside in fields like hardware engineer and data entry but i used to find the job very stressful. Once i did transcription work from home under a boss but she put a lot of pressure on me. Working in government jobs are very stress free. Teaching school kids is also a stress free job if the kids are obedient. Owning a small shop and selling things is also a stress free job if you find lots of customers soon. Network marketing is a stress free job if we know the strategies. We can earn a full time income from network marketing or investment sites.

You mentioned about network marketing or networking, and I agree that this type of job too can be stress free because you will own your time. You can also wake up and work when you want and how you want. I think the only stress you can get from network marketing is when you're not earning enough and not getting enough referrals, and when your earnings doesn't meet your needs and your family's needs, then there's stress.

Becoming a Landlord, Build a house, make it into an apartment and find good tenants, and you will have monthly money with no effort. If you have an American accent and a good talking voice, you can try voices.com, You will audition for radio commercials , you will just read a script and record your voice, if they like your style of talking they will pay you money. I make money out of this website. If you talent on something, record your self in video and who knows you might get youtube partnership. there are 100 ways to earn in youtube. If you have a relative in a province, Buy a cow for 20,000 pesos, ask a relative to take care of the cow, rent a bull to get her pregnant, Your relative in the province will take care of her. Your relative will take care of her and her baby, If her baby is a boy, sell him to slaughterhouse, you and your relative will share earnings from the bull. If your cow's baby is a girl, then now you have 2 cows, if they can get pregnant you can sell their babies. Look all the efforts will be from your relative who takes care of the cow, but you will get 50% of the earnings you will get from the cow.

if tenants dont pay, there is the fun of Evicting them.... not all land lords and land ladies do apartments, a boarding house can be a second option. All you need is a house near Universities. Boarding houses are easier to built but apartments are still better. You can study the audio samples at voices.com and try to imitate the way they talk, thats how I get gigs there. I charge cheaper than American voiceover artists, so that's how I get gigs. You need a better voice recorder and mic on your computer and your ready to go, Its fun. the money is good but yeah there are times you will be rejected, but when you get booked.... Money is delicious. Its trial error and practice, The successful ones, stayed at home.

I think the nice thing about working at home on your computer doing online jobs like surveys like I do, is that you can work at your own pace and there is less pressure like time deadlines and so on like with traditional office jobs. So, that makes it less stressful. I also, love my lot because I can write my feelings and get some good responses , people here are very good sometimes at offering good advice and of course we can take or leave it which is also less stress than someone like a doctor or councillor who insists you do what they say. I am enjoying my time here and hope to earn my first ten dollars soon, too.

For me, when I tried surveys it didn't work well maybe because the surveys are not coming as often as I wanted. Anyway, it's good you're doing well with that kind of work. I think it's more difficult for people in Asian countries to do surveys than for those living in America or European countries, as they can be paid more and have a lot more survey companies accepting them. And yes, mylot has been a good therapy for me as well as you can spend time sharing with a lot of members who are willing to help out and share their opinions. Plus the extra benefit of being paid for sharing yous :)

I would have to say that I have had jobs that I have really enjoyed but like you found that they came with alot of stress. I am working from home now and find that my stress levels have gone way down, I'm more patient with the kids, and I love that I can take a day off when I need or want to. The one things that used to stress me out the most being out in the work force was what if the kids get sick and I have to take more than 1 day off? Now I take off what I want and when I want and my kids are alot happier too with me home all the time.

i believe your kids are going to benefit a lot for the decision you made to work at home, and you will be able to take care of them more easily therefore helping them grow to be more stable adults. We have similar experience and I know you also have a lot more time to rest also whenever you want to. I also like the idea of having no boss and working with comfortable clothes...away from office politics. Anyway amyaeric, what type of work do you do at home? Maybe we may pick up something and apply it ourselves :)

Most jobs are stressful and many times, it depends on how you will handle the situation and manage the stress. There was an article a while back, though, where one guy got the opportunity to be a "Paradise Island Caretaker." I imagine that for him, this will be more of a vacation than a job. His job was to swim, explore, and write a blog to promote the tropical island in Australia.

A "Paradise Island Caretaker", I dreamed of having this kind of job before...lol. I imagined this can be a fantastic job as you are being paid well to enjoy that vacation paradise, although you would of course be given the task to manage that island and take care of the visitors of that Island, but it would generally still be a relaxing type of work.

Today I think no job is stress free every job has some kind of stress associated with them yes very few jobs has low level of stress associated with them Jobs which can be done online from home carries less stress as compared to the jobs in which we need to go to office and attend the hectic job …………. I agree with you 100%, Ganesh. Now if I can only find a way to go to the next level and increase my income from working at home, then that would be the day that would give me and my family more Better Days :)

Last time, I thought being a secretary is a stress free job, but after I graduate I notice I have to be a slave to my boss, and I fail to maintain my sanity. I became depressed while I was still in high school and working life makes me worse. Now I am working in a research company and I come to work as I like but there is no basic salary and sometimes I do feel stress as my supervisor always call me to come to report to her how many successful interviews I did. I think the most stress free job I had is to work at home because I had no boss around and I can do my work happily.

Working at home is really one of the most stress free job I know of. Thanks for confirming that, wongchoiyee. Stowyk also confirmed that fact. Anyway, it's good that your work now is much better than when you were a secretary :)

You are right, Cutie! It's good now that I'm doing what I love and "following my bliss". Anyway, I still need to increase my income online and that is a bit stressful...lol.

Well, I think that if you are passionate with your job, that is if you enjoy doing it and really interested in that job of yours, then it will surely be stress free for you. You won't consider it as a burden of a work. Also consider that stress doesn't necessarily mean that the work is difficult. Sometimes, I do get stressed out if the job at hand is boring, repetitive and and rather easy to do. I get stressed out because I feel that I am wasting my time doing that kind of boring job. But yes, I do feel that those activities that you mention are quite stress free too. But still, I am voting for the job that you are passionate about as the most stress free job that you can have.

Great point! That's why I think the advice "follow your bliss" is such a good advice. I heard this advice when someone recommended me to watch the youtube video of "The Secret". I was so inspired and influenced by these videos I downloaded the 3 videos ( about 30 minutes each ) in my computer. Now once in a while I watched them again when I wanted to feel inspired. Check them out!

You know I totally agree with you. I am working homebased too right now. I had taken two types of jobs before too, one is a teacher and other a medical transcriptionists. There so much stress that I am willing to give up the money I earn to regain my sanity. It is a crazy life during that time. Competition is always there, you need to push your self to your boundaries, do multitasking, travel to get to the workplace and more stressful things. Sometimes it can be stressful working at home too but considerably far better than working outside. I wish I could just start a homebusiness offline and some sideline online.

I have heard medical transcriptionist job pays good as my sister in law is doing that now. At least you have much less stress now working at home then before. I was also thinking of a homebusiness offline and I still am thinking until now what type of business I want to do...something that is not difficult and easy to manage.

I think all jobs has stress that comes in different ways and aspects. It maybe light sometimes and heavy all the times hehe.It just how you handle it and not let stress overcome you.

I agree with you, ardoy. I still do have stress once in a while when, for example, I have problems with my internet, my computer is not working as fast as I want or needed, or when my Korean students are absent or late in giving payments...and other stuffs of similar nature. I guess some of the most stressful jobs probably gives you a lot more opportunity to earn bigger. For government work as suggested by Tamosree. I didn't realize that they can be a stress-free kind of work. Anyway, good luck to you! I hope someday you find application in that type of occupation :)
