Relationships nowadays are trending. If you're goind to ask these couples how did they met or how long did a guy court them; some girls may not tell it honestly that the guy didn't court them as much as needed. For instance; a girl may say that the guy swept her off her feet whereas the guy may claim that the girl is easy to get. Then again; if it that "mutual understanding" takes too long; both of them may get burned out.
How many days does a girl needs to be courted? Or best question is: is courting still necessary nowadays?

Courting is still present in this generations. Maybe it wasnt the same as before. During the younger days of my parents, they send love letters, send flowers, and go to their house to court. In this generation, they use technology to meet with people and court. Social media websites like facebook, twitter, and myspace.

yet of course...that gives guys an excuse NOT to court a girl for too long because everything recently in this age is getting... instant. If you don't give your heart out (as a woman) they'll think you're playing hard to get in a fast-paced world. I dunno... what do you think?

Well, it depends. Some guys want women that are playing hard to get because they know that these women are valuable and not easily captured. Some guy get tired of courting that they want it at an instant. But if you're the girl and a guy that you like is courting, you should show some signs of interest, not too much, to the guy so that you wont lose him.

A good relationship does not depend on how long did the courtship goes. It`s a matter of trust and love and not a period of courtship. A guy could have courted you for one year and yet your life is miserable after your marriage.

I do agree... so that's another excuse of some men not to court a girl anymore. It will be like; useless if relationship didn't turn out well in the end. Is it just for the fun of the chase or somewhat for the sake of formality before getting married?

The best part in any relationship is the courting process, it might be short or long, but it eventually either intensify or diminish the affection based on the efforts of reassuring one's love or affection. It is a mere gauge of sincerity of a one's intention, be it a girl or a boy, lol!

for me i still do consider courting as an essential part of creating a romantic relationship. even though nowadays girls are somehow liberated, for me i would still want to preserve the tradition where the guy undergoes the courting process where he proves to the girl how much he loves her.

Even in these modern times, there are still people who go for courting. Courting can go for weeks, and even months. Here in our country, it has been a culture for so many ages that the guys do the courting by sending love letters, flowers and chocolates, giving serenades and asking the approval of the family. Even in the influence of modern technology, courting still exists.

It depends on what we mean as courting. I count that as courting if the guy is investing some effort in "hunting" the girl, like compliments her, shows that he could be a nice boyfriend, and they we agree on a date (so I'm not going to make out with a guy I've known for half an hour :D). I'm not that type of a girl who would play hard-to-get to giggle in myself seeing they guy's efforts, I would consider that mean. Also, months' long courting had a different purpose and social background in earlier eras-eliminating golddiggers, showing the families their intentions... and... I know, for most girls (me too) being used for a one-night stand would cause really big suffering, but we can't compare our status with a lady 100 years ago, who got into the same trouble/situation. The social down-looking and bad reputation meant so much more of them being left out than now.
