A Perfect Date

Recently I have been thinking about what my idea of a perfect date is. Seeing that I have never been on a legitimate date I really have no experiences to go off of. I never went through the dating part of any relationship. I always jumped right into a relationship. Now that I am in a committed relationship I would like to have one day/night where we go on a perfect date. There is always the simple dinner and a movie, but that isn't the most romantic option and is a little predictable. And I'm nowhere near a beach so a moonlight walk on the shore is out of the question. So what is your idea of a perfect date?

A perfect date could be on your rooftop under the moon with a bottle of champagne and some great music. Or you can go to a 5* restaurant and go for a candle lit dinner. Well those two are my idea of perfect date!

I want to try that rooftop date and go moongazing and stargazing. It's also nice to be done in a field. That's a perfect date!

A terrible date is being in a place we don’t want to be. A good date is wishing for another one. That might be the logic to use for a first but what about dates we have with the same person over and over again? To be perfectly honest does not the same things apply? Romance needs to be explored by two and perhaps just the mention of the word will put this idea in motion. Tell me what you think of this next thought please? We can not find romance – it finds us.

That is very true in a way. Usually the people who go looking for romance never find it but as soon as you stop looking it finds you. When I met my boyfriend I was looking and I ended up going home with someone else which ended terribly. After that I tried to think of any other guys that I met that night that would be a good choice and I actually chose to pursue my current boyfriend. I saw something I wanted and I went after it. I didn't wait for him to come to me, I went to him. Now we have been dating for 14 months and are madly in love. As for romance... well let's just say that he is not the most romantic guy, but is that really the most important thing? I think the better question is how do you define romance. Is it finding someone you love and just being with them, or is it finding someone to woo you, someone who is going to take you out on fancy dates and buy you flowers or jewelry. All I know is that I love him, he loves me, and we make each other happy. Isn't that all that truly matters when it comes to a relationship?

We are the same I also usually jump into the relationship first before the real dates happen. I want something more than dinner and movies too. I think a date in the zoo is nice. And also a date in the museum or a bookshop or by a park.

Unfortunately, I don't live at a beach, either. But going for a nice walk anywhere not too busy would be nice (especially a nicer place with lots of plants and stuff) and just talking. Or a picnic. Maybe a low-key café (that type poets visit :D).
