I have "singaw" or cancer sore at the back of my tongue due to my false teeth cracked on me on the side and everytime I eat or talk; it scratches the buds and it creates that sting already that I can't bear any longer. I can't figure out what to do and upon checking online; powdered talcum helps dries it out.
I'm working in the industry that requires me to talk a lot and I really can't be heard over the phone or personally by my clients. I really need help. Anyone can share their best practices? Thanks in advance.

Hi resy,
I hate that canker sore and it's really annoying. Hurts when you talk especially with it touches your tongue or teeth. Try to check these sites on how to treat your canker sore http://www.emedicinehealth.com/canker_sores/page5_em.htm#Self-Care%20at%20Home,http://www.emedicinehealth.com/canker_sores/article_em.htm#Canker%20Sore%20Causes. Hope it helps

I hate those- since it really hurts especially when you eat.
Some say it will heal if you gargle water with salt. I bought this medicine in the pharmacy though- it's colored orange liquid and you spread it, it really hurts but then it relieves the pain and heals it faster.

hello resy,
Mouth sores or the locally known singaws are usually caused by bacteria.
To treat it at home, gargle with lukewarm water with salt and not hot water.
The salt should be minimal too so that it will not be that salty.
Too hot and salty may aggravate the condition and may cause further pain
.
To treat it medically, doctors usually prescribe nystatin.
The dosage is in the packet however the physician may write it for their patients depending on the severity of the sore.
