As per newspapers and TV news girls were caught cheating in the examinations at par with the boys; they said they have equal rights in all matters as per Government orders.
They kept the written materials on thighs.
Some guys used cell phones hidden under caps I was told.

Wow they forgot copying is a punishable offence?
Now a day we find girls as pick pockets in trains, buses, they also lift jewelry in jewelry shops.
In our time it was not common for girls in such activities.
What about your place, do you find girls copying in examinations, as pickpockets, lifters, chain snatchers?
Please comment and share your valued opinion.
Sorry, I am no more regular here because of my and hubby Professor’s health issues. Please bear with me, if I get time I will visit mylot.

I too heard about the cheating in examination by students, some got a ban for years from the examination. The new generation seems to be lazier and can’t spend time for studies. Cheating is an easy way to do well in exam but it won’t be worth enough and he/she should catch in a later period for sure.
Regarding other crimes, girls/ladies are more involved in bus/train for pick pocketing. It does not mean that the other gender is clean or doing less crimes than girls. Boys are involving some other kinds of crime or join terrorism to get more money.
Doing crimes or cheating in examination, the trend seems to be a physic disorder and need treatment. According to our respected former President, A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, if the parents and teacher in primary class of a child is good then nobody become a culprit or terrorist. His statement is telling that who the culprit for making criminals in the society. Of course nobody born as a criminal and circumstances make them like that.

I agree with your views Sree beti
Most parents have no time for the kids, kids are in school for few hours, but are they not with us.
Best of luck.

Well I have heard about girls cheating in examination but never seen it, nor I have seen any girl/women pick pockets in trains, buses, or shop lifting but have heard about it a lot.
It seems to be quiet common girls doing such things, but to be frank I haven't seen any girls doing it ....

Hiya Kalyini,
Very sad that about the cheating in the Exams as really they are doing more harm to their own future than anything else.
They are depriving themselves of learning how to do things properly and how to take in the knowledge they need.
A great shame. But as someone else as said there are all kinds of cheating going on not only in Exams they are also doing the same things to themselves.
They might find a temporary relief in getting through the Exams but what about the next time they find the Exams even more difficult?
What will they do then?
We are in a Country plagued by all kinds of cheating going on the penalties are not very harsh really so it still goes on and on.
Sorry to hear about your Hubby hope he is much better now.xxx

It is the same as you said in a sense here. Some students take advantage of high technology to cheat during university entrance examination .Generally speaking, students who do so are in the minority. The relevant departments and schools take a hard line on this problem no matter when this happens. However I think it also has something to do with educational pattern in which score means everything.

Yes, in many places like here in out places there are young girls and boys who are cheating in schools and yes they are pickpocketing things and getting things not belonging to them. Maybe because of the current situation of so many. No jobs, no means of income and they have to resort to that. When I was in school I dont do that and always telling kids not to do dishonest things.

Cheating skill here become common in today's student here.
I do not cheat in the exam, so i can not get a good mark in the test. Many students here use their cheating skills to get high mark which could bring them scholarship or even more things. it is quite unfair, but I do not want to give up my moral for that.
One of my classmates, a girl, is always using this way to get high mark. But when she decided to study in American, she paid a visit to the university in American. But the professor there found that she was good at cheating, and refused her totally.
I think cheating may help you a time, but can not help you all your life.

I have seen some information lately on how many students cheat particularly on high stakes tests. It is disheartening to hear that there are more activities like these going on. It is so important to instill honesty and integrity in our children. But even then they may make poor choices. I think it is pretty much equal as far as boys and girls cheating.

Indeed cheating is something that is an equal gender thing for sure. There are times where both genders will use any and every thing to their disposal to get ahead in their life. Of course, that is really just something that really does not work in the end. Sure it may work for a short time and perhaps once or twice it might get you through.
However, most people rarely do something like this once or twice. They do it many times. And they are just going to get caught a lot of the time. I remember when I was caught, both genders were caught in an equal way. There are cheaters out there from all backgrounds and the smart ones only do it when it is necessary, once in a blue moon, and don't get caught. Those who do it often, are just going to run the risk of getting caught.

It is very common that students cheat on exams. Teachers or supervisors are often aware of this, and some of them even seem to allow it. They say that if someone is able to write and use that piece of paper, he already learnt the lesson. I'm not sure about this because I was always afraid of cheating. This can give them a few good marks, but on the long run not beneficial, once they will have to use the knowledge they learnt in the real life, but they don't have it.

it';s not about girls or boys, we see cheating/corruption every where now a days. top politician whether male or female are being treated in the same way and get jail sentences at par for corruption charges. it is very disheartening to see women being involved in such offences. however, when we talk about women being at par with men, they would ultimately be every where to be seen.....
