I started smoking again!

I am on and off with smoking and I thought coming here in Europe would stop me from doing it because of the expensive price as compared to Asia but I was wrong. It started when drinking with friends and colleagues. Having coffee alone in a beautiful sun lit coffee shop in the middle of a park with a good book followed and then during quick breaks at work. Now even when I am at home, thinking that I won't light any stick because my apartment is tiny, I don't want it smelling like a pub at night but, hey, I could just go out in the small garden to have a puff. One pack in a week at first, now it lasts for two days. A pack a day is coming! Oh, this bad habit is coming back!

I am one of the healthcare team,and I have learn and research that smoking habit is not good to our help.i never indulge with that kind of habit.but you know taiwanlife, Smoking can help you also especially if are in stress,One lesson or information i can give you is be positive.Everytime you smoke you dont need to think that is not good to your health,instead think that it will relieve you in your stress.Because everytime you will think bad tings in your mid about smoking it will happen to your life.

I just quit 2 months ago, and it is really hard. Especially if you allow yourself around the things that trigger smoking. I actually had to get rid of coffee, because drinking a cup of coffee made me think of smoking. Patches really helped. If you want to quit again, try the patches and nicotine gum, and stay clear from triggers that make you think of smoking. Remember, all it takes is one puff to be a smoker again, you have to keep yourself from ever taking that one puff again if you want to be a non smoker for the rest of your life. Good luck, its hard, but well worth it!

that's too bad. just motivate yourself and remind yourself what smoking can give you. it could even lessen the days that you could spend here on earth, with your family, friends and loved ones. is smoking important to you than the time you can spend with those people you love? oh c'mon. :)

I have my husband he is a smoker since high school but gladly he stop already because he practice himself gradually to stop until such time he don't like to smoke anymore. And he also realized that it is really bad to his health. I'm glad he change.

Hey dude i know its very hard to leave a habit. I have heard lot of people trying to break smoking habbit but have failed numerous times. First let me explain you the reason why smoking is hard to break its because while smoking your body relases chemicals which your brain likes it. When you smoke often say for a year or two you body accepts these chemicals as a primary basis. But now when you try to break this habbit your body resists you and indeed creates more craving for smoking resulting to smoke again that's why its very hard to break smoking habbit. So now here's the key all you have to do is replace your addiction with a good thought spend more time with your family, spend less time alone and cut your meetings in pubs and colleagues more often if you think its not good. Remember first a meeting with friends and than addiction. Right now from your discussion I can only suggest you these things, Iam sure there are many more things you want to look at while breaking the habbit. Good luck God bless you.
