I submitted my income tax 2 weeks ago. I did not have the privilege to get refund. In fact I under deduct my taxes. So I have to pay some more taxes latest by end of April.

There is no escape. Everyone pays taxes. It is either income tax or VAT or goods and service tax. IRS are very efficient and they are especially trained to get those who avoid tax and hunt them down. IRS are even better than the police.

Don't feel bad. My husband and I both end up paying each year for both state and federal taxes. I finally gave up in waiting for him to have more taxes withheld on his paycheck and started having more withheld on mine. He is still supposed to have more withheld on his but I'm not waiting anymore. I'm tired of paying taxes to both state and federal government every year. Crazy!

I don't work. So, I have nothing to file. But my boyfriend did file his federal taxes. But not his state taxes. Only because he has lost his state w-2's. We were just talking about it. Than I found this post...lol...kinda ironic in a way!!

I'm on disability, so I haven't had to file for a few years. I know my dad filed early because he is trying to get health insurance through the state. Since he doesn't currently have health insurance, he did his best to get his taxes in early.

kareng, I claim the right to procrastinate filing my income taxes. I got them done before the deadline but ran into a hitch when trying to e-file them. I mailed them out already and am happy to have the whole thing done and over with. I detest tax season!

I so agree with you. I hate tax season and start dreading it in February. I'm glad you got yours in before the deadline! I always say I'll do better next year but I usually don't. Always dragging on them. I think if I were getting money back, I'd be more attentive to doing them way before the deadline!

I second January's motion and raise that he's the one that sent me on my way to getting them done fast and free as well. Yeah I got them back within about two or three weeks of having filed.
