I'm really wondering about the above statement. People in my place believe that when you eat nuts, you get pimples. Is this a fact? Or just a hearsay?

I never heard of it and I don't think eat nuts would get pimples. If you got pimples after eating nuts, maybe the nuts are roasted or deep fried, just look for nuts with original taste.

Welcome to mylot Nuts contain oil, if one eats too much of nuts means she/he is consuming too much oil; this might cause pimples, so eat less nuts friend.

Hello rose and welcome to myLot. When I was in my teens back when the dinosaurs roamed the earth (according to my son)It was sai9d that chocolate and all fried foods caused acne. Now I( ate lot of fried foods from the fast food industry as well as as much chocolate as I could get my hands on. I never did have any problem with acne. Oh I would have a pimple now and then but not like some of my friends. In looking on the net for some information about what causes acne I found several Dr that put out that it is hormonal changes that cause acne.

I think the oils and such in nuts can cause pimples, so yes. Salty, like the one above said, can also be a cause of it. Of course anything with oils, fats and salts can do the same.

Nuts are good for you. I think that is just "hearsay" because I am a suffer of acne and have been since I was twelve. It's the other stuff you are eating like cokes, chocolate, or any junk. If you cut that out, then there may not be a problem.

If its the salty nuts, yes, it does cause pimples. Salty food has ill effects in our body, so just keep it in moderation. I like the steamed nuts, better.
