I love to haave appetizers when I have company. Those are the kind of things I don´t usually eat when I´m alone, so I feel that it is also a treat for me. Do you make some appetizers when you have company? Do you just something already made or do you work a bit? I do both. Yesterday, for my antipasto, I had assorted nuts (bought), stuffed olides (bought) and creeses. But I dried some thinly cut bread and made an avocado paste for it. I had bought a fresh cheese so I poured over it some olive oil and dried ground oregano. I try to change the appetizers as it´s a way of having fun creating. How about you? Share!

Maybe you should tell us some of your secrets as appetizers go. Or you might take a picture of some of them and place it here. I checked today and the only picture there is at mylot is the one I just posted

sorry i dont have a working camera right now, :( which ones did you like i can try and give you the ingredients, let me know the ones your interested in , the easiest one for me is the pigs in a blanket, very simple, you get cresent rolls, and you get the small little smokies there called or you can cut hot dogs in small peices.. you roll your cresents out and cut your dough in half, and roll it around one of the little smokies and place in pan to bake , if you like cheese just roll the cheese up with the little smokie .. and bake, make sure your dough is not too big cut it in half.. they all should loook neat and not too big when you get done rolling them.. bake according to cresant package directions.. very tasty..

Oh my, your appetizers sure look appetizing! Makes me wanna go fly off to Chile for a visit as well. LOL I've only once hosted friends at home, and it wasn't a mealtime party, so no appetizers, just snacks. Usually, when I meet with friends, it's decided upon to eat out, and rarely in a full-service restaurant where appetizers are served, but in a food court setting, i.e. different food kiosks to choose from. If it's a more formal event, yes, there'll likely be appetizers.

I hve discovered that inviting for diner at home with appetizers, a main dish and a dessert is a lot cheaper and cozier than to go and eat out. The best thing we have at home is that we can say all we want, laugh all we want and even be dressed as we wish.

I wholeheartedly agree. Still, whatever the group's decision is, that's what we go by. It can get burdensome (financially & physically) on the host if s/he has to prepare food for quite a number of people, so dining at home seldom happens. When we go out, it's Dutch treat, or if done in someone's home, it's potluck at times. You could end up with similar dishes though that way, though, not a variety. There are also those folks with food allergies. If there's anything I've learned from conversing with you is that you're a great host.

Sounds appetizing... In our country and culture, we don't really indulge in appetizers in our daily meal. We go straight for the main course and some desserts, right after. But, we have fancy restaurants who serve the full board. Right from the top of my head, I can't even think of a single appetizer.
