It depends on the person. I wouldn't collect guitar picks unless i were to use them. Or they had some kind of significant meaning to me. For whatever reason that may be. And I wouldn't use those ones. I have heard of people collecting guitar picks from well known guitar players in the music industry though.

When I was a teenager I use to collect guitar picks of different brands and styles. They were very good collectibles. For one thing, they are cheap and easy to carry anywhere if you move, unlike action figures or paintings. I loved guitar picks, but as I grew older and lost my focus on music, I gave them away. I still miss my old picks, especially the ones you used for special gigs or the first pick you ever used given by your Dad. Some of them I just lost. It's fun to collect stuff you love.

I think for some music lovers, they do consider guitar picks as collectibles. My father is a guitarist in a band and he collects guitar picks especially those that came from abroad and those which are given to him as a gift.
