uuggghhh!!!!! as much as i appreciate that my daughter is trying to fill out applications for scholarships/grants.....i hate filling out the forms about my tax return. i can never remember all the dang numbers. i know how much i got from uncle sam and i know how much i spent. but don't ask me what we made for the year and how much tax i had to pay! i'm just glad that i keep all the papers in one folder and i bought me a new filing cabinet that's actually getting used properly. i just pray that all this will pay off and she'll be granted a scholarship/grant for the school year.

Now, I have another web site she can use to help look up for scholarships but be prepared to have to pay some for her education. That she is having to live in dorms etc the cost is going to be higher and even with pell and loans she may not have enough. Good Luck.

send me the web address so we can go over it this weekend. is there any way that hubby will bring yall over on sat so we can double check everything? she ended up paying for someone to doublecheck the fafsa. i hope it wasn't a waste of money! but we know now for sure that they recieved her application and now have pin numbers. she's applying for more than one scholarship and pell grant. abilene tuition is 28,000. room and board will be another 3000. food is 2000. she better get more hours at the store.

i sent them to her. since she had a free day, she was able to look at them all. i don't know what she's done yet, i will find out in just a bit. i'm just proud that she's working hard to find all the help she can get.

I sent you three e-mails that I got from attending University of Phoenix. Hopefully they will be useful. I did the Stafford student loans for my two years and ran up a total of $27,000.00. Good luck!

wow! i have a long way to go yet, but i am scared. you don't make this sound fun at all. it is good to know what the next phase of parenthood holds for me, though. lol. i suspect it is all worth it so they can get to college. good luck to you and your daughter.

it's more that i hate doing tedious paperwork of any kind. now i know what to expect with my son for next year. i should've made her start all this at the beginning of the year vs waiting till the end. i'm getting my son started now.

I actually have no experience at all in these filling paperwork for application for scholarship and stuff because i am the one who's going and my parents would fill it for me. But i know the fact of what you are saying is true since my parents would take forever to fill those forms and sometimes they would just ask me to fill everything i know even those that they should fill and give them to fill the one that i don't know. It would also take them at least 1 week for fill those.
