What's the worst mistake you ever made and how did it helped you grow?

...I messed up big time in the past. I dropped out of college, switched jobs.. wasted all my savings on drugs. I hit rock bottom and now on the road to recovery. It aint easy, but I know everything will be all better in the end. I just need to be strong and trust God.

Best of luck to you in your road to recovery. I think what doesn't kill us will definitely make us stronger, make us have stories to tell, make us more wise and we will hopefully know better than to fall into the same trap in the future. Probably the biggest mistake I made was not continuing my post-secondary education right when I got out of high school. I completed 1 year at the University of Minnesota, and then "dropped out" (just didn't re-register, I couldn't, I owed them too much money). I am finally getting them paid off so I can start again and register for classes again. I am excited.

Thanks! :) It's not easy but thank God I've been sober for 6 months.. and counting. Though it still hurts to look back and think about the things I lost and people I hurt, I believe that Im getting stronger each day. I no longer resort to my old ways everytime I feel down and disappointed. You mentioned you also "dropped out" of school.. Welcome to the club! *kiddin. Actually I feel you, I also dropped out or technically didn't enroll cause I spent the money on other things. My parents thought that I failed but what they don't know is that I didn't enroll cause I own the school a lot of money since I didn't pay my pass school dues. My bad. I'll go back to school soon, just need 9 more units to graduate. I must first find a job so that I can pay for my own studies. Thanks for sharing your story by the way.

when i was in my college days, i didn't pay more attention in my thesis. i mean i exerted and effort, but the effort is not enough. so instead of taking my course 4 years i took it 5 years. i was guilty cause my parents paid the full amount of my tuition but i wasn't able to graduate. during summer, i stayed focused on my thesis. and when class started, i volunteered myself to defend my work. and luckily i was the 4th student got thumbs up by our teacher. that incident makes me realize, that i should focus on things in order to finish it on time.

I am a professional nurse,I had able to got a job because of my father. The biggest mistake i ever had is when i resign to my job as staff nurse.when the time i resign i never had a job for two years and that's the biggest mistake i did in my life. But you know guys,i learned from it that if there is opportunity to your life we must grab it because if that will gone then it will take time to have it again. I am happy for this time because for being jobless i can have time to my daughter and to my family. So God is good to me.

Not giving in my abstract for my thesis on time-one year-hiatus from university. But I don't regret it immensly, as I'm working now and earning way more money than with the school funds. Also, it helped me to be more precise with deadlines.
